Las Vegas Aces 2026 Depth Chart After Adding Chennedy Carter in Statement Signing
The Las Vegas Aces signed Chennedy Carter to a training camp contract on Wednesday. The defending WNBA champions took a bold decision to bring in Carter, who last played for the Chicago Sky in 2024.
Carter was one of the best offensive guards in the league during her time in the league. However, she was notoriously famous for having a bad attitude. Keeping Carter under a training camp contract allows the Aces to evaluate her before signing her to a standard deal.
A training camp contract allows teams to sign a player to a one-year, non-guaranteed minimum salary. Players signed through these contracts are not counted on the roster until offered a standard contract.

The Aces have not yet extended their superstar A’ja Wilson after the new CBA. The four-time MVP is eligible for a $1.4 million supermax contract. According to Spotrac, Wilson was on a two-year $400,000 contract that expired in 2025.
Angel Reese sends warm wishes Chennedy Carter’s way for signing with the Aces
Chennedy Carter announced signing with the Aces on her Instagram account on Wednesday. She shared a picture of herself photoshopped in an Aces jersey in a post.
“Officially Official. The biggest stage just got BIGGER. Hollywood x Vegas—perfect fit. ♠️🌴🎰” she wrote in the caption.
Carter’s former Sky teammate, Angel Reese, dropped in the post’s comments section with a warm wish.
“rooting for you, Chen!! 🤍” Reese commented.

Angel Reese and Chennedy Carter played together for one season. Reese was in her rookie season when she played with Carter, who was returning to the WNBA after missing the 2023 season.
Carter carried the Sky in the final stretch of the regular season after Reese was sidelined with an injured wrist. The former Sky guard was at the center of controversy midway through the 2024 season after she committed a hard foul on Caitlin Clark in the Fever’s 71-70 win over the Sky on June 1.
