Novak Djokovic unveils completely unusual outfit color choice for clay season before French Open 2026
With the 2026 French Open tournament more than a month away, Novak Djokovic unveiled his unconventional choice of outfit for the clay season. So far in 2026, the Serbian tennis star has only competed in two tournaments, including the Australian Open and Indian Wells Masters.
After a long hiatus from competitive tennis, Djokovic is slated to compete in the clay court season, for which he recently revealed his outfit. The 24-time Grand Slam champion, who is usually seen in bright red or orange kits, has now opted for a subtle shade. During the 2025 French Open, Djokovic opted for a red t-shirt with stripes in ‘+’ design, which he paired with white shorts.
Thanks for the submission!
He debuted his new kit in a hype video with Lacoste on social media. The Madrid Open shared the video of his new outfit, where he was seen wearing a Rose Pale t-shirt, which he paired with black shorts and his signature ASICS tennis shoes.
Novak Djokovic signed the collaboration with Lacoste in 2017 after parting ways with Uniqlo. The partnership with the brand was extended for five years till 2025 in September 2021. However, the tennis ace is still seen wearing Lacoste’s apparel in multiple instances.
“I have been struggling physically” – Novak Djokovic opens up on his appearance at the 2026 Madrid Open

Novak Djokovic cleared the air on his participation at the 2026 Madrid Open. He has arrived in Spain to begin his preparations for the ATP Tour Masters 1000 event. However, his participation in the Spanish capital still remains unclear. During an interview at a EuroLeague basketball game in Madrid on Thursday, Djokovic mentioned experiencing physical discomfort.
“I hope to compete here, I’m working towards that,” Djokovic said. “I don’t (know), I’m not sure. I have been struggling physically a little bit with an injury, so I’m trying to address that and play as long as I can. Now I have a little bit more time, not playing as much, so I get a chance to enjoy other sports and great athleticism.” (via sundayguardianlive.com)
The Mutua Madrid Open is scheduled from April 22 to May 3, 2026. Djokovic is dealing with a recurring right shoulder injury that kept him away from the Miami Open and Monte-Carlo Masters tournaments. The 2026 French Open is scheduled from May 18 to June 17, 2026.
