There are many weapons in Windrose that players can use to ward off enemies or fight the diverse range of wildlife in the massive world. While the base weapons sure pack a punch, upgrading them unlocks additional damage and improves their quality, making them a more powerful item.

You can upgrade weapons in Windrose using the Weaponsmith Workshop. Simply head over to the crafting table and navigate to the Upgrade tab. Once you get there, select the weapon you wish to upgrade. Once selected, the menu will show the raw materials and items required to upgrade the said weapon.

After you have collected the necessary items, hit the confirm button to upgrade the weapon. While some weapons can be upgraded with just raw materials, others will require you to upgrade the Weaponsmith Workshop. Using anvils and bellows can upgrade the level of the workbench, letting you further upgrade weapon tiers or unlock new ones.

Most weapon upgrades will require a combination of ingots and hides. Keep a steady stock of both through smelting and hunting to ensure you can level up your weapons with ease. This prevents the need to scour for resources when upgrading your stock of weapons.

It must be noted that the items for upgrade must be placed and used within the range of the bonfire. It is also recommended to place raw materials like copper ingots and fiber in nearby storage boxes to access them within range, allowing you to keep your personal inventory free. Upgrading weapons and using a combination of powerful foods can give you the competitive edge required to take down strong foes.
