Aubrey Plaza Confirms She’s Pregnant With Her First Child

Aubrey Plaza has shared that she is pregnant with her first child.

The White Lotus star’s representatives confirmed to People magazine that Aubrey and her partner, Golden Globe-nominated actor Christopher Abbott, are expecting a child later this year.

People reported that the Parks And Recreation actor is due to give birth in the autumn.

Aubrey and Chris first crossed paths when they worked on the 2020 psychological drama Black Bear, before working together once again three years later in an off-Broadway revival of the play Danny And The Deep Blue Sea.

Following her breakthrough in Parks And Recreation in the late 2000s, Aubrey’s work has included projects as varied as season two of The White Lotus, the Marvel series Agatha All Along, the superhero pastiche Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and the festive rom-com Happiest Season.

Meanwhile, Chris has starred in the comedy Girls, the miniseries Catch-22, the space drama First Man, the Oscar-winning Poor Things and the Amanda Seyfried historical musical The Testament Of Ann Lee.

Aubrey was previously married to the writer and director Jeff Baena, who died by suicide in January of last year.

Speaking to her former Parks And Rec co-star Amy Poehler on the podcast Good Hang seven months after Jeff’s death, Aubrey admitted that her grief was a “daily struggle”, but felt “really grateful to be moving through the world”.

“At all times, there’s like a giant ocean of just awfulness, that’s like right there and I can, like, see it,” she shared, comparing her grief to the film The Gorge.

“Sometimes, I just want to just dive into it and just, like, be in it. And then sometimes, I just look at it. And then sometimes, I just try to get away from it. But it’s always there. It’s just always there.”

Prior to this, Aubrey also paid a subtle tribute to Jeff while presenting a segment as part of Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary broadcast, sporting a tie-dye shirt in honour of the outfits they wore on their wedding day.

Aubrey and Jeff married at their home in July 2021, and separated in September 2024.

Michelle Gomez Leaves One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest For ‘Personal Reasons’

Michelle Gomez will no longer be starring in a new London production of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest due to undisclosed “personal reasons”.

The former Doctor Who star had been cast as the villainous Nurse Ratched in the Old Vic’s new revival of Dale Wasserman’s play, which will also star Aaron Pierre and Olivier winner Giles Terera .

However, on Monday, the theatre confirmed that Michelle had withdrawn from the production, performances of which are due to get underway on Wednesday 1 April.

In Michelle’s absence, Olivia Williams of The Crown and Friends fame will now be taking over the role of Nurse Ratched moving forward.

“The Old Vic is sorry to announce that Michelle Gomez has stepped down from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest for personal reasons,” the theatre’s statement read. “The theatre, cast and company wish Michelle well and thank her for her time on the production.”

It continued: “The part of Nurse Ratched will now be played by Olivia Williams and we are pleased to welcome Olivia to the company. All performances are scheduled to go ahead as planned.”

Michelle Gomez Leaves One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest For ‘Personal Reasons’

One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest started life as a novel by Ken Kessey in the early 1960s, telling the story of a group of men at a psychiatric facility, overseen by a Nurse Ratched, who looks after the ward with an iron fist.

Nurse Ratched was most famously played on the big screen by Louise Fletcher in the 1975 film adaptation of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, earning her the Oscar for Best Actress.

The character has also been played on TV by Ingrid Torrance and Sarah Paulson in the family adventure Once Upon A Time and the Netflix drama Ratched, respectively.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest will run at the Old Vic until Saturday 23 May 2026.

Barry Keoghan Says Online Hate About His Appearance Is ‘Becoming A Problem’

Barry Keoghan has claimed that online abuse about his looks is beginning to take a toll.

The Oscar nominee recently made an appearance on SiriusXM, where he was asked how he copes with the global fame he’s achieved in recent years, and the scrutiny that comes with it.

While he acknowledged that he has an “incredible fanbase” who are “so lovely” towards him, he added that there’s also a “nasty side” to being in the public eye.

Barry explained that while he “removed” himself from much of that by deleting his social media, he still finds it tough not to check what’s being said about him online.

“I’m still a curious being that wants to go on – if I attend an event or if I go somewhere – to see how it was received,” he said. “And it’s not nice, you know?

“There’s a lot of hate online, a lot of abuse of how I look, and it’s kind of passed a point of, you know, ‘everyone goes through that’.”

He admitted: “It’s made me shy away. It’s made me really go inside myself, not want to attend places, not want to go outside. And I say this being absolutely pure and honest here, it’s becoming a problem.

“So, I don’t have to hide away, because I am hiding away. I don’t have to go to places, because I actually don’t go to places, because of these things. But when that starts leaking into your art, it becomes a problem, because then you don’t even want to be on screen anymore.”

Back in 2024, Barry announced he was deleting his Instagram page as a result of the barrage of abuse he’d received.

“I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work,” he wrote on X. “The messages I have received no person should ever have to read […] absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine.

“Dragging my character and everything I worked extremely hard for and stand for. Talking about how I was a ‘heroin baby’ and how I grew up, and dragging my dear mother into it, also knocking on my granny’s door, sitting outside my baby boy’s house, intimidating them. That’s crossing a line.”

Prior to that, the Saltburn star had already spoken candidly about the “absolutely disgusting” things that are said about him online, specifically calling out those who comment on his appearance and skills as a father.

Barry deleting his Instagram page came just days after it was reported that he and pop singer Sabrina Carpenter had parted ways after around a year of dating, which seemingly exacerbated the abuse he was describing.

Strictly Stars Dianne Buswell And Joe Sugg Announce Birth Of Their First Child

Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell has confirmed that she and her long-term partner Joe Sugg have welcomed their first child.

Dianne announced she was pregnant back in September, just weeks before the latest season of Strictly – on which she was paired with fellow Aussie, Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis – was due to get underway.

On Wednesday evening, Dianne and Joe shared a joint Instagram post confirming that the dancer had given birth to a son on Monday, who they have named Bowden Mark Richard Sugg.

“Never felt a love like it,” the two wrote in their post, alongside a beautiful photo of Bowden sleeping, as well as pictures of Dianne holding him in her hospital bed and Joe carrying him home.

Dianne and Joe met when the YouTube personality competed on Strictly during the 2019 season.

After being paired up by Strictly producers, the two made it all the way to the final, and announced days after the series ended that they had begun a relationship while working together.

Over the course of her time on the long-running BBC dance show, Dianne has also been paired with popstar-turned-minister Reverend Richard Coles, broadcaster Dev Griffin, The Wanted performer Max George, actor Robert Webb, presenter Tyler West and EastEnders star Bobby Brazier.

However, her most famous celebrity partner is probably comedian Chris McCausland, who made history as the show’s first ever blind contestant, and with whom Dianne eventually went on to lift the Glitterball Trophy back in 2024.

As well as their Strictly win, Dianne and Chris also scooped a TV Bafta in the Most Memorable TV Moment category for their emotional Waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Last year, she defended her decision to continue dancing on Strictly during her pregnancy, having previously explained: “I’m still doing everything I did before. Obviously, with lifts, there’s going to be a bit more caution. But my doctor has said everything is normal.

“He said, basically, if you’ve done it before, in terms of being a dancer, and you’ve done this, done that, then crack on and keep doing what you’re doing.”

Oscars Organisers Speak Out After Teyana Taylor Security Incident

Oscars bosses have responded to an incident involving Teyana Taylor during this year’s ceremony.

Shortly after Sunday night’s awards show, footage emerged depicting the One Battle After Another actor confronting a security guard who she alleged had “shoved” her and another female guest.

“You’re a man putting your hands on a female, you’re very rude,” she said in the clip.

A representative for the Academy has since told Variety: “We were extremely upset to learn about the experience endured by Teyana Taylor at the end of the Oscars ceremony last night. We have worked with Teyana over the last several months during awards season, and she has been nothing short of remarkable, supportive, kind, and all about community.

“Though the incident was with our outside security firm SIS, the experience of every single guest is our responsibility. We have made it clear to them that this behaviour is not acceptable.”

They added: “We want to thank Teyana for showing remarkable grace, and we are taking the appropriate measures to ensure this does not happen again.”

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the security company Security Industry Specialists (SIS) told the outlet: “There was a brief interaction involving Ms. Taylor and a member of our security team during the show last evening. Our security personnel were working to manage a crowded area and ensure the safety of all guests. During that interaction, there was incidental contact and we regret that the situation escalated.

“This is not the standard of professionalism we expect from our team, and we have addressed the matter internally to help ensure situations like this do not happen again.”

Following the ceremony, the Grammy nominee told TMZ: “Security was just doing a lot. There’s always that one, but I’m perfectly fine. I’m happy. There’s nothing to wonder.

“The first thing people do is definitely make assumptions. But at the end of the day I just don’t tolerate disrespect, especially when it’s unwarranted and unprovoked.”

Bridesmaids’ Wendi McLendon-Covey Missed Oscars Reunion Due To ‘Neck Lift’ Surgery

Bridesmaids actor Wendi McLendon-Covey has shared the real reason she didn’t join her former co-stars at the Oscars over the weekend.

Over the weekend, the Bridesmaids cast took part in a skit at the Academy Awards to commemorate the film’s 15th anniversary.

However, fans quickly noticed that the group was one bridesmaid down, with Wendi not joining Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne and Ellie Kemper at the event.

At the time, director Paul Feig claimed: “I just heard that she was not available. She might even be travelling, I’m not sure. But we will miss her terribly, because I love Wendi.”

Since then, Wendi has set the record straight on her absence, revealing that she actually couldn’t attend as she is recovering from cosmetic surgery.

“In response to some of the DMs I’m getting: I had a neck lift last week because I’m tired of looking like a melting candle. So I had to skip the Academy Awards,” she told her Instagram followers.

“No drama. Everything is fine.”

In the years since her break-out performance as Rita in Bridesmaids, Wendi has appeared in hit shows like The Goldbergs and St. Denis Medical.

Rose Byrne attended this year’s Oscars as a nominee, off the back of her much-lauded performance in the dark comedy If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.

Meanwhile, One Battle After Another was the big winner at the 2026 Academy Awards, written and directed by Maya Rudolph’s long-term partner, filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.

Upon its release in 2011, Bridesmaids was nominated for two Oscars, with Melissa McCarthy receiving an acting nod in the Best Supporting Actress category, and screenwriters Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo also landing a Best Original Screenplay nod.

Jack Osbourne Welcomes Daughter Named After His Late Father, Ozzy

Jack Osbourne has announced that he and his wife Aree Gearhart have welcomed a baby girl.

The former I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! campmate shared the news in an emotional joint Instagram post with Aree on Wednesday night.

In their post, the couple announced their daughter had been born on 5 March, and they’d named her Ozzy Matilda Osbourne.

The joyful news comes nearly eight months after rock icon Ozzy Osbourne died at his family home last year, at the age of 76.

“Introducing Ozzy Matilda Osbourne,” the caption read, alongside a short video of the newborn.

Next to the newborn in the video is a stuffed bat plushie, in a reference to one of the Black Sabbath frontman’s most iconic emblems.

Jack and Aree are already parents to a three-year-old daughter, Maple. He also has three more daughters, Pearl, Andy and Minnie, with his first wife, Lisa Stelly.

Back in December, Jack told The Sun On Sunday that his late father had learned he would be a grandfather once more before he died last July, and admitted the pregnancy had been a welcome distraction for the grieving family.

“It’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing – probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way,” Jack explained. “It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness.”

“We’re super-excited. It was sort of planned, I should say,” he added, before sharing that he and his new arrival was coming a little earlier than they had previously expected.

“It’s definitely something that we were wanting to pursue and somehow it happened, miraculously,” Jack said.

Earlier this month, Jack’s mum and sister, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne appeared at the Brit Awards to accept a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award on Ozzy’s behalf. a

Woman Charged With Attempted Murder After Gunfire Outside Rihanna’s Home

A suspect has been charged with attempted murder following an incident outside Rihanna’s house in California last week.

On Monday, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the Pon De Replay singer’s home had been targeted by a woman who fired numerous shots in the direction of the property from outside of it over the weekend.

Days later, 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz was charged with attempted murder, as well as 10 felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and three felony counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper.

BBC News reported that her bail is set at $1.875 million (around £1.4 million), and that she is facing a potential life sentence.

“Opening fire in any populated neighbourhood is extremely dangerous, puts lives at risk and will be fully prosecuted,” the Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman was quoted as saying.

“This careless violence will not be tolerated in our community. Such shooters will find their next destination to be our jails and prisons.”

After allegedly fleeing the scene, Ortiz’s white Tesla was found around eight miles from Rihanna’s property, after which she was arrested and detained.

It’s also been reported that Ortiz had previously shared a number of social media posts referencing Rihanna.

Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky are both believed to have been at their home at the time of the shooting.

In September of last year, the couple welcomed their third child, a baby girl who they named Rocky Irish Mayers.

They were already parents to two sons, three-year-old RZA and two-year-old Riot.

Best known for her hits like Umbrella, We Found Love and Work, Rihanna has pivoted away from music in the last decade to focus on her hugely successful makeup and lingerie businesses.

She has continued to sporadically release music and perform in the last 10 years though, most notably headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2023 and landing an Oscar nomination for her contribution to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.

Zara Larsson Doubles Down After Abortion Joke Sparks Backlash

Zara Larsson is standing by a joke she recently made about abortion after sparking debate on social media.

Last week, the Stateside singer commented on a TikTok from a fan who shared a video of the Swedish star performing live alongside the message: “I didn’t know I was pregnant here but at least my baby got to hear midnight sun before I aborted it.”

“I killed the performance and then you killed it after the performance,” Zara replied. “Purrrrrr.”

— Buzzing Pop (@BuzzingPop) March 3, 2026

Over the following days, Zara received a mixed response to this comment, which she addressed in a TikTok of her own on Thursday night, doubling down on the joke.

“Sorry, that’s funny!” she began. “Like, I don’t know what to say. That’s funny. Sorry if you don’t have humour.”

The Grammy nominee said: “I’m not really here to argue with the people who are very against abortions for whatever reason, because we’re so fundamentally different in the way we view the world, at least on this topic. So I’m not here trying to convince you guys that abortion is healthcare or whatever.

“I actually want to have a little one-on-one with the people who [are pro-choice]. I saw a lot of comments that were like, ‘this is not something to joke about, I am so pro-choice, I am as pro-choice as the next person, but abortion is a very serious topic’. And I just want to know why that is.

“Why do you feel like abortion is only OK when it’s a very hard decision, when it’s something that women have to struggle with going through, when it’s emotionally or physically painful? Why does that make it morally superior than someone just wanting an abortion for whatever reason? Why is it only morally OK when women have to suffer? Now, riddle me that… why can’t it just be OK for a woman to want to have an abortion?

“And then yes, I do agree, I feel like we should prevent it – we should teach sexual education to children, we should make sure that if we don’t want babies that we have birth control and access to free condoms… because people love sex. Sorry, let’s face it. People want to fuck. That’s just human nature. But also, that doesn’t mean that you have to have a baby because of it.

“So, if you are in this, ‘I’m pro-choice if the woman’s been raped, if the woman’s been’… no! Baby, if you are pro-choice, you have to be pro-choice always.”

Zara continued: “I feel like joking about stuff like that, which is a ‘serious topic’, it also makes it something that we can just talk about. It doesn’t have to be taboo. It doesn’t have to be this bad thing that women do.

“Because also, if we speak about it in a casual manner, that also makes the women who go through it, and who are actually suffering through it [feel less stigmatised]. Because, of course, there are women that want their babies but they can’t keep them […] I’ve seen so many cases about this, like, in Texas, where women want their children, and they have to do abortions because they will not live outside of the womb, and they can’t have it, because of the fucking policies around it.

“So, let’s just make more jokes. Abortion is healthcare, what can I say? And it’s not better because women have to suffer.”

Throughout her time in the spotlight, Zara has always been outspoken about social and political causes that are close to her heart.

Earlier this year, she shared an impassioned post condemning the actions of ICE agents in the US, saying: “I love immigrants, I love criminals, I love trans people, I love abortions, I love queers, I love slutty women, I love contraception, I love welfare, I love socialism, I fucking hate ICE.”

Zara Larsson follows up further following backlash to her post condemning ICE:

“Tr*mp supporters are suuuuper upset with me saying I love criminals when referring to my boyfriend and the silliness of him even technically being that for smoking a joint according to Swedish law… pic.twitter.com/QhBOgRKYpq

— Pop Crave (@PopCrave) January 12, 2026

A decade on from her mainstream breakthrough, Zara has been enjoying a new wave of commercial success in the last few months.

Shortly after the release of her Midnight Sun album, her 2016 single Lush Life began re-climbing the charts after going viral on TikTok, while her remix of PinkPantheress’ Stateside was recently revealed to be the number one song on the global Spotify chart.

Victoria Beckham Has A Short And Sweet Message For Brooklyn Amid Fall-Out Drama

Victoria Beckham has joined her husband Sir David in wishing their son Brooklyn a happy birthday, despite their eldest child no longer being on speaking terms with them.

Across several social media posts, he accused them of “performative” and “controlling” behaviour over the course of his “entire life”, as well as claiming that they had tried “endlessly” to “ruin” his relationship with his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham.

Neither Sir David nor Victoria has commented publicly on Brooklyn’s claims, but on Wednesday, the football legend shared an old family photo to commemorate his son’s 27th birthday.

After reposting her husband’s message, the former Spice Girls star then shared one of her own, writing alongside an old photo of herself and her son: “Happy 27th birthday Brooklyn, I love you so much.”

The morning after Brooklyn’s social media post confirming the fall-out, Sir David made an appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where he dodged numerous questions about the family drama.

During a subsequent interview, he made a timely comment about social media use among young people, explaining: “I’ve tried [with] my children to educate them. They make mistakes. Children are allowed to make mistakes. That’s how they learn.

“That’s what I try to teach my kids. But you know, you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well.”

In the weeks before Brooklyn’s posts, it had been reported in the press that Sir David and Victoria had unfollowed him on Instagram, to which his brother Cruz Beckham made a public statement in retaliation.

“My mum and dad would never unfollow their son,” he insisted, before alleging: “They woke up blocked… as did I.”

A representative for Victoria also told People magazine around this time that it was “not true” that she had unfollowed Brooklyn.
