Former Team India captain Kris Srikkanth slammed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh for another poor performance in IPL 2026 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 14. KKR appointed the left-hander as vice-captain ahead of the ongoing IPL season.

However, Rinku has been a massive letdown, scoring only 78 runs at an average of 26 and a strike rate of 120 in five games. The southpaw struggled once again in the CSK clash, scoring a 12-ball 12 as KKR lost by 32 runs.

Talking about Rinku Singh’s lackluster performances this season, Srikkanth said on his YouTube channel (10:09):

“Rinku Singh is not a tearaway player. He scored five sixes in the final over ages back, and people are still celebrating him because of that. He’s good for ones and twos, and if the chase is in the range of 170. There is no chance he bats at No.5.”

Rinku’s poor season has directly impacted KKR, who are languishing at the bottom of the points table with no wins and a solitary point in five matches.

Kris Srikkanth slammed KKR opener Finn Allen for slogging blindly with no plan throughout the ongoing IPL 2026 season. The New Zealand batter disappointed once again in the CSK clash, falling for a three-ball one.

Allen has struggled for a big score in IPL 2026, averaging 16.20 in five outings.

“He just swings blindly. Does he think the bowlers bowling to him are halwa bowlers? Just because he made one century in the T20 World Cup doesn’t mean he swings the bat wildly like this. Tim Seifert will definitely replace him in the next match,” said Srikkanth (via the aforementioned source).

Srikkanth also blasted KKR’s marquee signing, Cameron Green, for another dismal showing, saying:

“12 of Green’s 25 crores has already been wasted. He doesn’t bat well and gets smashed with the ball, also.”

Green endured another poor outing against CSK, falling for a first-ball duck and conceding 30 runs off his two overs. He is averaging an underwhelming 14 with the willow in five games and a woeful 58 with the ball at an economy of 14.50.
