Disheartening update on WWE star Elton Prince

There has been an unfortunate update on a major WWE star and their injury situation. The star in question was in a popular tag team with SmackDown star Kit Wilson.

Speaking on The Mark Hoke Show, Kit Wilson provided an unfortunate update on Elton Prince. Wilson and Prince were in the popular tag team Pretty Deadly together. Prince suffered a neck injury last year and still has not been able to return to the ring. Wilson revealed that there was still no time frame for Prince’s return to the ring and that he had just undergone successful surgery.

“Uh we don’t have a time frame at the moment. We’re just—he’s still kind of—he’s had the surgery, it’s been successful. Things are good. It’s just early days. It just, you know, as long as he’s been out, it’s still early days in the process of recovery. So, we’re just—we’re just waiting really. We’re just waiting,” he said. [H/T: Ringside News]

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the INSIGHT podcast, Wilson admitted that he was nervous to perform without his tag team partner. The WWE veteran noted that he had always wanted to be in a tag team with Prince, and the two had been best friends for a while.

“Oh my goodness, God, yeah. So the first day I went to SmackDown without Elton, I felt like I was five years old going to school for the first time. Because, again, we are best friends. We met on the independents. We signed together. We’ve done everything together. When we moved over to America, we live together. We talk every day. I love him, and we viewed each other as one person. We never talked to anyone and tried to talk as individuals. It was always about the team,” Wilson stated.
