Antoine Semenyo addresses Arsenal’s dip in form ahead of huge title clash
Manchester City star Antoine Semenyo has laid down the gauntlet to Arsenal ahead of Sunday’s title decider.
Pep Guardiola’s side have clawed down the gap at the Premier League summit to just six points. They also boast a game in hand, meaning City’s title hopes are back in their own control.
Semenyo believes now is the perfect time to host Arsenal at the Etihad with Mikel Arteta’s men winning just once in their past five games across all competitions. That includes a 2-1 loss to Bournemouth in their last Premier League outing.

“Our form over the last couple of games has been good and we’re playing probably the best football we’ve played in the second half of the season,” he told In The Mixer, brought to you by Sky Bet.
“So it’s a good time to play them, I guess. Where they’ve dipped in form, we’ve picked up form, so it’ll be interesting.”
Semenyo, 26, has played a key role in keeping City’s title hopes alive since joining from Bournemouth for £64million in January. The Ghana international has scored eight goals and laid on three assists in 19 games for his new club, including crucial contributions against Tottenham, Leeds and Nottingham Forest.
And he insists that the squad feel perfectly ready for their biggest game of the season – as much as they are trying to play down the significance.
“We were excited, to be honest,” Semenyo added. “I feel like we’re ready for the game Sunday. It’s gonna be a big one. Title-deciding, maybe? I don’t know.

“But it’s gonna be a tough game, don’t get me wrong. They’ve obviously lost against Bournemouth but they’re still top of the table.
“We’re still chasing them. So we have to give them respect in that sense.”
