Hanwha Life vs Gen.G in League of Legends LCK 2026 Regular Season: Prediction, head-to-head, livestream details, and more
The League of Legends LCK 2026 Regular Season puts Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) up against Gen.G on April 18, 2026. The former is on a three-game winning streak, while the latter has had mixed results in the event so far. All in all, it is always a competitive series when these two squads face. And given that there are multiple LoL Worlds’ winners in both teams, it will be quite interesting as fans to watch all the brawls.
That said, there is an ongoing tax-related controversy involving Gen.G’s ADC, Ruler. LCK is currently investigating the issue, and if the player is found guilty, he could face a significant penalty.
Here are all the details about the Hanwha Life vs Gen.G clash in the League of Legends LCK 2026 Regular Season, and some details about the Ruler situation.
League of Legends LCK 2026 Regular Season: Hanwha Life vs Gen.G
Prediction and Ruler situation explored
Despite starting the year with a disappointing LCK Cup result and failing to qualify for the First Stand event, Hanwha Life Esports has bounced back significantly in the LCK 2026 Regular Season. That said, the squad looked a bit shaky in the initial fixtures, where it even suffered a devastating 0-2 defeat to T1.
Nevertheless, HLE has looked much better in the subsequent series, securing consecutive victories against Dplus, FEARX, and DN SOOPers. With Kanavi and Gumayusi as the new signings, the overall synergy and team fights already look exceptional. It seems the drafting has gotten a lot better as well.
Zeka, the mid laner for HLE, has been the most effective player so far this event. His timely rotations, carry potential, deep champion pool, and many more prowess have secured him three POG (Player of the Game) awards out of the four HLE victories so far. The team is currently second in the table, with a 4-1 scoreline.
On the other hand, the situation at the Gen.G camp is a bit tricky right now. There’s controversy around the team’s legendary ADC, Ruler, who reportedly evaded tax earlier. LCK is currently reviewing the facts, and if the tax evasion is true, the player could face a fine or a permanent ban (according to the LCK rulebook).
Regarding this, Ruler also made an official statement on his social. He explained the situation from his perspective, and also asserted that (translated),
“I will take the responsibility for this case completely. LCK league related matters will be cooperated with the review of the league’s tip. From now on, we will operate the entire asset management more transparently and thoroughly. I’m sorry.”
All in all, without any immediate measures or suspension of Ruler, he can still compete until LCK’s investigation is completed.
But with all these happenings, Gen.G seems not to be at its peak form, as it was during the LCK Cup. It has suffered defeats to KT Rolster and Dplus so far and at times looks unsynchronized as a team.
However, with five prominent players on the team, Gen.G still has the caliber to outclass any team in the world through their excellent macro and brilliant team fighting. After the victory against DN SOOPers, HLE’s ADC Gumayusi stated in an interview,
“I do think Gen.G’s momentum isn’t quite what it used to be, but even a tiger with missing teeth is still a tiger, so we can’t let our guard down.”
It will be interesting to see the bot lane 2v2 matchup between Gumayusi-Delight and Ruler-Duro. Based on recent results and occurrences, HLE should take the series in the end.
Prediction: HLE 2 – 1 Gen.G
Head-to-head record
These two organizations faced each other 48 times in the past across all competitions. HLE won 10 times, while Gen.G succeeded 38 times.
Previous results
HLE won its earlier series 2-0 against DN SOOPers in the League of Legends LCK 2026 Regular Season. On the other hand, Gen.G won 2-0 against BRION in the same stage.
