Krystina, owner of Under the Sun Shelter, helps all animals in need across war-torn Ukraine – including goats and horses on the way to be slaughtered.
She came to their rescue just in time to stop the truck and save their lives by purchasing them. The five-year-old horse, while traumatized by the experience, is doing well at a local stable and has already found a new home abroad.

He will remain at the stable until he is transported to his new home.
Even though Krystina is caring for over 250 dogs at her shelter, she couldn’t let these goats die.

The four neglected goats need medical care. One is pregnant, another is suffering with a broken horn, and all need antibiotics and care.

After all the pain and suffering they have endured they deserve to live the rest of their lives on green pastures. For now, they are taking comfort in each other’s company as they realize that they are finally safe.
