It has been a forgettable outing for the Mumbai Indians so far, with just two points from four games. Adding to its woes, Rohit Sharma remains a doubtful starter for the must-win IPL match against Punjab Kings at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday (April 16, 2026).

Rohit had hobbled off after injuring his hamstring during the previous game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and has since skipped practice, with the franchise maintaining that the “medical team is assessing” him. On Wednesday (April 15), he did some light, gingerly jogging on the eve of the game after skipping the earlier training sessions.
