BREAKING: “I’m Shutting Shop, Calling It A Day” – Beloved Star Announces Wrestling Show Is Ending On WrestleMania Weekend
A beloved star has announced the end of a wrestling show on WrestleMania weekend. This is the end of it.
Josh Barnett has addressed the end of Bloodsport on WrestleMania weekend
Thanks for the submission!
Josh Barnett addressed the crowd at the end of the night tonight during WrestleMania weekend, as he spoke about the future of Bloodsport. He said that it had been seven years of the company, starting all the way back in 2019 and that they had come a long way to current day. He said that they had done a lot, but now, Bloodsport was closing doors. He said that it was over while they still had their pride and integrity, and while it was not a bad thing, it was time to say goodbye.
“Seven years. Seven years. Seven years of Bloodsport, all started way back when, Jersey City, 2019. We’ve come a long way, with shows in London, in Japan, and here today in Vegas. It’s been a hell of a ride. But, at this point, we’ve done a hell of a lot of stuff, we’ve done some amazing things, this door is closing. I’m shutting shop, calling it a day, while we still have our pride and integrity. While you still love what we do, and everything we’ve done. It’s not a bad thing, don’t get me wrong, because I’ve had the greatest people behind me.”
He also thanked Brett Lauderdale with how much he had helped and pushed and pulled to run Bloodsport shows. He added that this was not being shoveled six feet under, but it was going away for the foreseeable future. He said that he knew it was not good news, but he would rather shed a tear for what was great and for having the chance to be a part of it.
“I’m not saying this is being shoveled six feet under with a gravestone, but I am ending this for the foreseeable future. I love every single one of you. Yes, it is worth booing that, it s*cks. But hey, we don’t lament what isn’t. We are glad for the fact that we can shed a tear for what was great. We got a chance to be a part of it. That’s me, that’s you, that’s everybody.”
For the moment, this is the end of Bloodsport. The fact that it comes on WWE WrestleMania weekend has added to the momentous nature.
