Rhea Ripley has confirmed a beloved WWE team has been quietly ended
Thanks for the submission!
Rhea Ripley was interviewed on SportsCenter leading into WrestleMania. There, she spoke about her relationship with IYO SKY. She confessed that she loved the star. She went on to confirm that their time as a tag team was over, saying that they had an awesome run and that SKY had helped her through it. She admitted that their past as a tag team was now catching up to thjem in the form of Asuka and Kairi Sane.
“I love IYO SKY. I absolutely love her. We had an awesome run as RHIYO, as a tag team and she helped me through a very dark place in the beginning. She helped me grow as an individual and I was trying to do the same, but unfortunately, our past is catching up to us, and that’s where Asuka and Kairi come into it. They just won’t leave her alone.”
Rhea Ripley explained how they had been helping each other with both the Jade Cargill issue on one side, and the Kairi Sane and Asuka issue on the other. However, she reminded everyone that they were both top star and were used to having targets on their backs, saying that they would be fighting through it.
“Now she has been trying to help me with my Jade Cargill problem and I’ve been trying to help her with her Asuka and Kairi problem, so we are just going to have to try and figure it all out. We’ve always been targeted because we’ve been the top girls for so long, so we’re used to having that target on our back. We’re just going to have to keep fighting through it all. And that’s why I say, keep fighting, because that’s what I am, and so is IYO SKY, the same as me. At the end of the day, we’re going to come out on top, because that’s what we always do.”
It remains to be seen what’s next for the two stars after this.
