How to sleep in Esoteric Ebb?

The Guard Tower has a bed for your character to sleep, and this location is unlocked only via story progression. Thankfully, you do not have to wait too long to get to this part. To do so, you must progress until midnight during the first day and attend the meeting with the Coinlord. You will then be directed to the Guard Tower.
This is a safe space where you and your goblin sidekick can relax after a tough day. We recommend taking full advantage of this feature to recover HP and restore spent Spell Slots. Note that sleeping advances the time by 8 hours, so planning out your progress will help a lot. On the flip side, there are negative consequences to not sleeping in Esoteric Ebb.
Avoiding sleep will cause you to gain Exhaustion Stacks. Similar to how being exhausted works in real life, you will be less effective in combat, since your skill checks get harder and spells get less effective. So you must rest to keep your character stable throughout the journey.
Not sleeping for 48 hours will result in death. Furthermore, sleeping late will shorten the next day since you wake up late, so you will have less time to do things. That said, you will get enough time across the whole journey to do and see all you need to do, so you can get by sleeping a good 8-10 hours each day.
