Warframe: The Shadowgrapher release time countdown
The release of Shadowgrapher, Warframe’s first content update in 2026, is fast approaching. In this one, we’ll get the painterss-frame (more like devkit-frame) Follie, a new game mode, Clan matchmaking, a Survival touch-up, and a number of other QoL changes. Most important of all, perhaps, is a trifecta of new adversary weapons – specifically, I’m eyeing the Coda Bubonico with great anticipation.
So, for fellow Bubonico enjoyers (or those who just want the Mr. X game mode), here’s when you get to check it out in-game. Warframe will also go live on Switch 2 with this update, so this also doubles as a Switch 2 release time countdown!
When does Warframe’s Shadowgrapher patch go live?
As already confirmed on the official Warframe Discord, The Shadowgrapher patch will go live at 11 am EDT on March 25. A wednesday release at 11am EDT is a long-standing DE tradition, so no surprise there.
Here’s what the release time looks like for various regions around the world:
- United States and South America: 8 am PDT / 9 am MDT / 10 am CDT / 11 am EDT / 12 pm BRT noon (March 25, 2026)
- Europe: 3 pm GMT / 3 pm UTC / 4 pm CEST / 5 pm EET (March 25, 2026) / 6 pm MSK
- Africa: 5 pm SAST (March 25, 2026)
- Asia: 7 pm GST / 8:30 pm IST / 11 pm PHT / 11 pm CST (Beijing Time, March 25) / 12 am JST/KST (midnight March 26)
- Australia: 2 am AEDT / 4 am NZDT (March 26, 2026)
In case your regional time is not included in the list, here’s a precise countdown you can rely on:
The update technically goes live on March 26 for those in Australia/NZ, and late night to midnight at wednesday for most of Asia-Pacific.
Estimated File Sizes for Update 41

With the Shadowgrapher’s release, Warframe will include a DX12 shader-cache optimization, so the PC update is slightly bigger (and you’ll need to wait longer if you want to optimize file size right away). Meanwhile, Switch users will have to essentially redownload the game due to a significant asset remaster and optimization pass.
- PC DirectX 11: ~2.39 GB
- PC DirectX 12: ~3.04 GB
- PlayStation 4: ~5.73 GB
- PlayStation 5: ~5.16 GB
- Xbox One: ~2.95 GB
- Xbox Series S: ~3 GB
- Xbox Series X: ~4.2 GB
- Nintendo Switch: ~20.75 GB
- Nintendo Switch 2: ~38.6 GB (~39.85 GB Total Installed Footprint)
- iOS: ~880 MB
- Android: ~880 MB
Party invites are to be enabled again soon
Of note, there’s an ongoing security problem which forced DE to disable invites in Warframe for the time being. As confirmed on a recent devshort, this issue has been worked out, and invites will be enabled again as the Shadowgrapher (Update 42) goes live later today.
As you’re waiting, here’s a breakdown on Follie’s abilities from what’s been revealed thus far. Alternately, you can read up on a lot of the other features as shown on the last Devstream.
