Virgin Media offers up to £250 for sports fans switching to Premier League deal
Virgin Media is paying sports fans up to £250 to switch to its TV packages, helping them avoid rival price rises
Virgin Media is offering sports enthusiasts up to £250 if they switch to one of its TV packages this month. This enables fans of the Premier League, Formula 1, rugby, darts and more to sidestep upcoming price increases from competing providers whilst claiming a £250 switching credit.
The offer is available with Virgin’s £52.99 Sport bundle, delivering over 200 channels plus nine from Sky Sports including Main Event and F1. With this package, subscribers can watch Sky’s complete coverage of the Premier League’s final stage, every Grand Prix weekend, plus the Carabao Cup final and The Masters.
Those securing this offer will also receive a complimentary Netflix subscription and 516Mbps fibre broadband, with Sky Atlantic set to be added from April 1. New Virgin customers taking up the deal can claim a bill credit of up to £250 to cover early termination charges from their existing provider, potentially offering several months of free service.
However, Virgin has confirmed subscribers must sign up by April 1 to secure the deal. It’s also available with the combined £64.99 Sport + Cinema bundle, which includes the same TV and sport benefits but also features a Sky Cinema subscription.
This grants access to Sky’s expanding library of over 1,000 films on-demand. All of these benefits are also included with the £76.99 Max Volt bundle, which Virgin describes as its best value package. What distinguishes this package from more budget-friendly options is its lightning-fast 1,130Mbps broadband speed, combined with over 230 TV channels, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema and Netflix. Additionally, Max Volt subscribers receive a complimentary O2 SIM card offering unlimited data, minutes and texts.
Virgin’s sport packages also allow customers to add extras such as TNT Sports for £25 per month. This represents better value than subscribing directly with the broadcaster at £30.99 monthly.
Get £250 to switch to Virgin Media’s sport packages

Virgin Media is paying new customers up to £250 as a bill credit when they switch to one of its TV and broadband packages, several which are packed with hundreds of channels including Sky Sports, Netflix and fibre broadband.
An important factor when considering a switch is that Virgin has guaranteed no price increases in April, with rates fixed for 12 months. The drawback, however, is that subscribers will still experience a £4 monthly price rise in April 2027.
Virgin’s Sport bundle competes directly with Sky’s offerings, including the £35 Essential TV and Sky Sports package. Whilst Sky’s plan is more affordable than Virgin’s, it provides fewer benefits, with approximately 100 fewer channels and no broadband service included.
To take advantage of Virgin’s £250 switching offer, customers must enter their postcode on the website to confirm coverage and select their preferred package. They can then complete the purchase using One Touch Switch, which enables Virgin to handle the transfer without customers needing to contact their existing provider.
Following confirmation, Virgin will provide instructions on claiming the switching credit, which will be applied directly to bills. It’s important to note the credit amount corresponds to the early termination fee charged by the current provider.
