TNT Sports given new streaming home as HBO Max launches in United Kingdom

TNT Sports viewers in the United Kingdom will have to get used to a new streaming home for the channels as HBO Max launches in the United Kingdom.

Previously housed on discovery+, all live sport currently shown on TNT Sports has now moved on to HBO’s streaming service, with the UK the last country in Europe in which it launches.

TNT’s broad sporting offering was expanded by last year’s integration with Eurosport under the Warner Bros Discovery banner, and includes Premier League and Champions League football, Prem Rugby, the Olympics, the French and Australian Open in tennis and the entire cycling season, including the Tour de France. You can subscribe to HBO Max here.

Subscribers to the channels can login to HBO Max using their existing details at an unchanged price of £30.99 per month, or opt to purchase select HBO Max plans to access the wider entertainment content.

That will include HBO television shows like Succession and The Sopranos, new hits including The Pitt, and films from Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios.

It is worth noting, though, that TNT Sports will be available either as a standalone subscription or as an add-on to HBO Max entertainment plans, rather than being bundled in by default. In other words, you don’t have to pay for sport if you only want TV and films, or vice versa.

The service will be available via Sky and Prime Video in the United Kingdom.

The first major men’s match within English football due to be shown on TNT Sports is the FA Cup quarter-final between Manchester City and Liverpool at 12.15pm BST on Saturday 4 April.
