Police in northwestern Manitoba are investigating a suspicious death after a 43-year-old man was found unresponsive and pronounced dead in The Pas on Friday morning. 

The Pas RCMP responded to an open area south of 4th Street West just before 8 a.m. on Friday after an unresponsive male was reported there, the police service said in a news release. 

Police said officers found a 43-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The man’s death is considered suspicious, police said. 

Local RCMP officials are investigating alongside the major crime services and forensic identification services units.
