John Harbaugh dishes on potential Giants reunion with Odell Beckham Jr

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

There could be one Giant reunion in the works for New York.

Head coach John Harbaugh was asked about the team signing free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., and the coach did not dismiss the possibility.

“The obvious pat answer would be you look at every option, and if Odell is an option, we’ll be looking at him for sure,” Harbaugh told reporters at the owners’ meeting on Monday.

Beckham, 33, played under Harbaugh with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 and was productive as a depth wide receiver. He caught 34 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns.

Harbaugh spoke about the relationship he has with the three-time Pro Bowl receiver.

“He and I do talk. We do text,” Harbaugh said. “We’ve maintained a really great relationship. He’s one of my very favorite people in the world. It’s not like you don’t talk to guys on things like that. And certainly we have.”

“We’ll just have to see where it all goes, what’s best for him, what’s best for the Giants.”

Beckham won Offensive Rookie of the Year with the Giants in 2014, exciting fans with his electrifying play. After four seasons, three of which he made the Pro Bowl, the Giants signed Beckham to a five-year, $90 million contract extension in August 2018.

After the season, then-general manager Dave Gettleman infamously said at a press conference the team didn’t sign Beckham to trade him. Gettleman traded him to the Cleveland Browns just over two months after that press conference.

In five seasons with the Giants, Beckham played 59 games, catching 390 passes for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns.

Beckham never recaptured that same form with the Browns, spending just two and a half seasons with them before they released him. The Los Angeles Rams signed Beckham after his release and he became a key part of their offense in the Super Bowl run, including scoring a touchdown in the big game before he tore his ACL.

Beckham last played in the NFL in 2024 with the Miami Dolphins, playing in nine games and catching just nine passes for 55 yards. He did not play in 2025 and was suspended six games for performance-enhancing drugs.

He played at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic earlier in March and played well. After the event, Beckham told reporters he hoped it would be a “starting point” toward an NFL return.

Tiger Woods arrested in DUI crash with ‘white pills’ found in his pocket, affidavit says

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Tiger Woods was arrested in Florida with prescription opioids found in his pocket after the 15-time major winner was involved in a rollover crash on Friday, according to court records.

The five-time Masters winner was arrested on charges of driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to submit to a blood-alcohol (BAL) test after law enforcement said his vehicle collided with another vehicle Friday afternoon while he was driving impaired.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital, deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office reported observing several signs of impairment at the scene, noting that the golf legend was “sweating profusely” and that his movements appeared “lethargic and slow.”

During the investigation, Woods explained to deputies that he was distracted prior to the crash.

“Woods stated he was looking down at his cell phone and changing the radio station and did not notice the vehicle in front of him slowing down,” deputies noted in the affidavit.

Law enforcement proceeded to perform field sobriety tests because of their suspicions. Woods was instructed to remove his eyeglasses, and the deputy conducting the tests stated that his eyes appeared to be “bloodshot and glassy” and “extremely dilated.”

Woods was placed under arrest, and during a search, law enforcement found “two white pills inside Woods’ left side pant pocket.” According to the arrest affidavit, the pills were later identified as hydrocodone, a prescription opioid for pain relief.

Woods previously told law enforcement prior to the field sobriety tests that he underwent seven back surgeries and “over 20 operations on his leg.” He told law enforcement that “I take a few” prescription medications.

At the jail, Woods submitted to a breathalyzer, where he provided 0.00 results on both samples. He declined to submit to a urine test, resulting in another charge.

Friday’s arrest marked Woods’ second DUI arrest within the last decade. In 2017, he was taken into custody, also in Jupiter Island, after taking prescription drugs and being asleep behind the wheel of a running car at 3 a.m.

In 2021, he got into a wreck that resulted in serious leg injuries that kept him off the golf course for the entire year.

Canada awaits winner of Italy, Bosnia match to determine Toronto World Cup game | Globalnews.ca

If Italy is going to qualify for its first World Cup in 12 years, the Azzurri’s defenders are going to have to contain a striker they respect and know well.

Canada awaits winner of Italy, Bosnia match to determine Toronto World Cup game | Globalnews.ca

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s 40-year-old forward Edin Dzeko has been a club teammate of all three of Italy’s starting defenders.

Dzeko played with Gianluca Mancini and Riccardo Calafiori while he was at Roma from 2015-21. Having then moved to Inter Milan, Dzeko teamed with Alessandro Bastoni on the squad that reached the 2023 Champions League final.

Italy and Inter winger Federico Dimarco contacted Dzeko to congratulate him after Bosnia beat Wales in a penalty shootout last week to set up Tuesday’s playoff final against the four-time World Cup champion.

Dzeko’s headed equalizer in the second half against Wales was his 73rd international goal. At 6-foot-4 (1.93 meters), Dzeko excels in the air — where Italy’s defenders often struggle.

Story continues below advertisement

“Edin is a great player and a great person,” Dimarco said. “I saw him on vacation over the summer and I’ve maintained a nice relationship with him.”

Dimarco will have to momentarily set aside the relationship, though, with Italy desperate to avoid missing out on a third consecutive World Cup.

Italy was eliminated by Sweden and North Macedonia, respectively, in qualifying playoffs for the last two World Cups.

In last week’s European playoff semifinals, Italy beat Northern Ireland 2-0. Bosnia beat Wales in a penalty shootout, setting up Tuesday’s qualifying final; the winner will play Canada in Toronto on June 12.

Tuesdays’ other playoff finals are: Sweden vs. Poland; Turkey vs. Kosovo; and Denmark vs. the Czech Republic.

Bosnia has chosen to host the playoff in the 14,000-seat Bilino Polje Stadium in Zenica, which is surrounded by apartment towers overlooking the field.

The stadium’s capacity will be reduced by 20 per cent following punishment from FIFA for discriminatory and racist abuse by fans during Bosnia’s game against Romania in November.

Italy is concerned over the status of the stadium’s pitch after a recent snowfall in Bosnia.

“We’re expecting a difficult atmosphere,” Dimarco said. “But if we’re able to remain in the right frame of mind for 95 minutes, I think we can get the result.”

Added Italy coach Gennaro Gattuso: “If it’s in rough shape then it’s rough for them, too. It’s a weakness to look for alibis. I think the pitch suffices. What matters is our mental approach and attitude.”

Bosnia has seized upon video footage of Italy’s players celebrating after seeing the victory over Wales — as if they considered Bosnia an easier opponent than Wales.

Story continues below advertisement

“It was an instinctive reaction,” Dimarco said. “I certainly did not disrespect either Bosnia or Bosnians.”

The referee for the match in Bosnia will be Clement Turpin of France, who was also in charge when Italy was beaten at home by North Macedonia 1-0 in the playoff semifinals four years ago.

“We all have our preferences. Mine was not to play against Italy,” Dzeko said on Monday. “If they’re afraid of playing in Wales, there’s something wrong. Maybe they’ll struggle a lot with this match, too, because they’re playing to make up for the two World Cups they missed. It means they’re afraid.”

Dimarco has been a consistent force on the left wing for Serie A leader Inter this season with six goals and 15 assists.

The only World Cup he’s played in was the under-20 version in 2017 when Italy finished third with Dimarco scoring in the quarterfinals.

Story continues below advertisement

“I’ve always said that goals and assists don’t interest me unless they help the team achieve results,” Dimarco said.

Italy’s attack got a boost in the second half against Northern Ireland when Pio Esposito replaced Mateo Retegui. Now the 20-year-old Esposito could start in Retegui’s place alongside Moise Kean in Bosnia.

Dimarco also plays with Esposito at Inter.

“He’s a special kid,” Dimarco said. “He’s mature for his age and always gives 100 per cent — both in matches and in training. … He just needs to be left alone and we shouldn’t put too much pressure on him.”

The pressure is on Italy since an entire generation — basically anyone under 15 — has no memory of the last time the Azzurri played in the World Cup. An elimination loss to Uruguay in 2014 in Brazil is mostly remembered for Luis Suarez’s bite of Giorgio Chiellini’s shoulder.

Just ask right winger Matteo Politano, who has won two Italian league titles at Napoli but at 32 has still never played in a World Cup.

“We all know what we’re playing for,” Politano said. “For me, and for a few of the other senior players, it’s probably our last chance.”

“I love football, but today is my last day as a football player,” he said, via the New York Post. “This game has given me opportunities beyond my wildest dreams. This game has challenged me with obstacles I thought I’d never overcome.

“This game has forged lifelong bonds with people I would have never met otherwise. I’ve been playing this game since I was 8 years old. Today, I’m 31.”

Streveler played college football at Minnesota and South Dakota before he took a chance and went to the NFL. He joined the Cardinals during the 2020 season.

He never made a start for the Cardinals. He was 17-of-25 for 141 yards and a touchdown in seven appearances. He joined the Miami Dolphins in 2022 but never played for them.

Streveler joined the Jets in 2022 after the Dolphins waived him. He was one of four Jets quarterbacks who got to start during that season. He made his first career start against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15 of that season.

He was 10-of-15 for 90 yards. New York lost the game, 23-6. The Jets would later waive Streveler before the 2023 season began.

Saskatoon Blades return from Edmonton to take on Oil Kings in Game 3 – Saskatoon | Globalnews.ca

The first-in-a-generation post-season series between the Edmonton Oilers and the Saskatoon Blades is returning to SaskTel Centre following a strong away opening to the series.

Canada awaits winner of Italy, Bosnia match to determine Toronto World Cup game | Globalnews.ca

The Blades won game one, 3-2.

The second game was less fortune for the Blades as the Oil Kings got one over them in a nail-biting overtime, securing the second game 4-3.

The Oil Kings have put up a strong and physical offensive challenge against the Blades, but Blades captain Tyler Parr is undeterred.

“We can win this thing, we’re probably the underdogs, people say that from the outside. There’s a lot of people that said before the series. I don’t know how many said we’d win this series, but we can win this series. There’s two home games here, a lot of juice, a lot of energy, we’re ready to go,” said Parr

Both games were standout openings for Blades centreman Hayden Harsanyi. “I like to pride myself on being a playoff player,” he said. “I’ve always kind of been that through minor hockey U15, U18. So yeah, I think this is my best hockey all season.”

Edmonton had a strong upper hand on the power play, capitalizing on opportunities. In the second game, three of the four Edmonton goals scored were on the blades penalty kill.

Coach Dan DaSilva says the Blades need to focus on not taking bad penalties.

“The issue I have is it’s just too many times,” DaSilva said. “They’re getting too many reps, too many looks and our penalty killers are getting worn down, so we have to be more disciplined, there’s no doubt about that.”

The Blades, likewise, were struggling to capitalize on their own power play.

“We understand that they have the best penalty kill in the conference, right? So it’s a tough test. They do a great job with their PK over there. So you got to give them credit,” DaSilva continued.

“They make it hard on us, but we’ll find a way to break through. We have a lot of tweaks we can make, too. It’s not like we haven’t found the chances, either.”

Shedeur Sanders ditches rookie number as Browns announce change heading into 2026 season

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Shedeur Sanders is making a jersey change heading into his sophomore NFL season, and he’s going back to his Colorado roots.

Sanders, who wore No. 12 during his rookie season, will wear No. 2 next year for the Cleveland Browns.

As the Browns made it official on social media, Sanders did so as well, writing “#2” on X to coincide with his squad.

The move comes after wide receiver DeAndre Carter, who wore the number for Cleveland last season, is no longer on the roster. Now that he has a year under his belt, Sanders can make the change.

And he does so with his old college number, as Sanders wore No. 2 at Jackson State University before transferring to Colorado, as his father, Deion Sanders, took the head coach role with the Buffaloes.

SHEDEUR SANDERS’ WILD 2025 BEGAN WITH DRAFT FALL, BUT IT’S ENDING WITH HOPE AFTER TUMULTUOUS TURNS

While he was wearing No. 12 last season, Sanders started the year in a depth role, as veteran Joe Flacco was Kevin Stefanski’s starting quarterback. But, when Flacco was traded to the Cincinnati Bengals following Joe Burrow’s injury, Dillon Gabriel, who was drafted two rounds before Sanders in a shocking NFL Draft for the Buffaloes product, took over the role.

He would be Gabriel’s backup, but after the latter’s struggles and injury, it was Sanders’ time to step up.

Shedeur Sanders smiles on the sideline

Sanders won his first-ever start against the Las Vegas Raiders and went 3-4 across seven starts as he remained the starter for the remainder of the season. Since then, Stefanski was fired; head coach Todd Monken was hired, and the veteran coach who served as John Harbaugh’s offensive coordinator with the Baltimore Ravens echoed what the Browns said heading into 2026 — there will be an open quarterback competition.

Monken told NFL Network at the NFL owners meeting in Phoenix on Monday that the Browns haven’t “gotten that far yet” in terms of naming Sanders their starter heading into the team’s offseason program.

Deshaun Watson, who has had a turbulent Browns tenure, is back in the fold, while Gabriel is back healthy heading into 2026.

Sanders surely understands he’ll have to prove himself again with a new coaching staff in the building, as that’s ultimately the nature of the NFL except for a rare group of certified starters.

But Sanders has a Pro Bowl under his belt already despite the small sample size on the NFL gridiron. He’s looking to build off the momentum of last season, but it’ll be a fresh start with a new number.

Bulls waive Jaden Ivey after he called NBA’s Pride Month celebration ‘unrighteousness’

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

The Chicago Bulls have waived guard Jaden Ivey following videos he posted where his rant about religion and other topics led to him calling out the NBA for celebrating Pride Month.

The Bulls announced the move on Monday, saying it was due to conduct detrimental to the team.

Ivey’s video calling out the league was posted on Monday morning, as he said it was “unrighteousness” that the NBA would celebrate Pride Month

Ivey has been posting similar videos with rants in recent weeks, while the 24-year-old has noted in the past he deals with depression.

“The world can proclaim LGBTQ, right?” Ivey said in his latest video. “They proclaim Pride Month and the NBA. They proclaim it. They show it to the world. They say, ‘Come join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness.’ They proclaim it. They proclaim it on the billboards. They proclaim in the streets. Unrighteousness. So, how is it that one can’t speak righteousness? Who are they to say that this man is crazy?”

Ivey also said in a different video that Catholicism was a “false religion,” which comes as a potential issue for Ivey’s mother.

Niele Ivey is the head women’s basketball coach at Notre Dame, which of course, is a Catholic university.

Ivey was traded to the Bulls as part of a three-team deal involving his previous Detroit Pistons and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Ivey was the fifth overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft by the Pistons, who hoped he would be a key piece in their rebuild. He was solid to start his career, making the 2022-23 NBA All-Rookie team after averaging 16.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game, while shooting 41.6% from the field.

He posted a career-high 17.6 points per game during the 2024-25 campaign, as the Purdue product looked to be hitting his stride.

However, Ivey saw a regression in his production this year, primarily playing off the bench for the Pistons before the trade.

NFL owners in favor of 18th regular-season game, but key caveat added as well

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

The 2026 NFL owners meetings in Phoenix are underway, and among the discussions is bound to be whether an 18th regular-season game should be added to the schedule at some point.

Two owners, New England Patriots’ Robert Kraft and Indianapolis Colts’ Carlie Irsay-Gordon, are all for it.

However, there is a key caveat Kraft would be in place.

Kraft reportedly told media in Phoenix that he is in favor of an 18th regular-season game, but he wants there to be a second bye week for teams instead of the standard one week.

Also, Kraft’s “conditions,” according to The33rdTeam’s Ari Meirov was removing one preseason game, which brings the total to two per season, and making every single NFL team play at least one international game each season.

As for Irsay-Gordon, she pointed to the fact that not every team gets an even number of home games in today’s NFL under a 17-game schedule. But she also agrees with Kraft that preseason should be shortened.

“Preseason, is, as far as the fan product goes, I know the commissioner’s been open that it’s not the best product that we have,” she explained, per the Indianapolis Star. “I would say, for development of our team, I don’t think we can get rid of it.”

While owners want it, the NFL Players’ Association noted at the Super Bowl earlier this year that their side has “no appetite” for an 18th regular-season game.

Now that JC Tretter was elected the PA’s executive director, negotiations about an 18th game, as well as a new media rights contract, could be ongoing. While the TV deal could be changed before the start of the 2026 season, Pro Football Talk reported that some support for the league to implement an 18th game could come as soon as the 2027 campaign.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has noted in the past that the 18th game is “not a given,” though owners like Kraft, Irsay, and likely others see it coming sooner than later.

Buffalo Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins said in a recent interview to Fox News Digital that he feels “it’s going to happen either way.”

He just wants to make sure players like himself are taken care of properly if that is the case, especially from a financial lens.
