Moment football manager ‘goes down like a sack of spuds’ after being ‘headbutted’ by opposition boss during staggering brawl in non-league match

A football manager was accused of headbutting his opposition counterpart – who fell down ‘like a sack of spuds’ – during a non-league fixture on Friday.

Maidenhead United boss Ryan Peters was sent off after he allegedly headbutted Slough Town coach Scott Davis during a confrontation after a last-minute equaliser in the National League South tie.

It followed a late challenge on Maidenhead’s Jordon Ragguette, who was forced off the field on a stretcher amid the brawl that broke out after his injury.

In a video posted to Instagram, Peters appeared to have his hands on Davis, who fell down holding his face as players and staff clashed in a crowded brawl.

One comment on the video said Davis had gone down ‘like a sack of spuds’ after he landed heavily on the turf.

Maidenhead players in black and white could be seen pushing and shoving alongside the Slough players, in orange, on the touchline next to the Main Stand.

At one point a man appeared to try to drag the Slough manager off the pitch as he lay on the grass but was pushed away.

Scuffles continued among players and staff before stewards eventually split the groups – Peters was sent off after order had been restored.

Peters’s Maidenhead side, playing away from home and fighting for a play-off place, had been 2-0 up after an hour following goals from Josh Umerah and Asher Yearwood.

But the Rebels fought back at Arbour Park and scored a 98th-minute equaliser through a Kiki Oshilaja header to draw the game, dubbed the ‘SL Clasico’ for the teams’ shared postcode area.

It was after this that Raguette was brought down, sparking the brawl and leading referee Steven Swann to send Peters off.

After the match, Peters told the Maidenhead Advertiser the tackle on Raguette was ‘horrible’.

‘It’s a red card tackle and the boy hasn’t even been booked for it.

‘I walked over to make sure Jordon was okay. One of our strikers has then been pushed by their manager. I have grabbed the manager and told him not to push them.

‘I’ve been sent off for headbutting someone. I have never headbutted anybody in my life and I wouldn’t do so.’

Davis said the brawl was ‘inexcusable’ and Peters had ‘put his head to my head’.

He added he felt ‘regretful’ after the match and was ‘sure’ Peters felt the same.

Maidenhead now sit seventh in the National League South table, one point clear of play-off rivals Chesham United.

Slough are sixteenth, having lost three games in a row before the draw with Maidenhead.

Peters, 38, has been Maidenhead’s interim manager since November after Alan Devonshire’s resignation following more than a decade in charge.

He said in December that Devonshire, an FA Cup-winning midfielder with West Ham, had ‘primed me’ for the role.

Maidenhead play Hampton and Richmond at home on Monday while Slough are away to Chesham United on the same day.

Police make new arrest over Golders Green ‘arson’ that saw four Jewish community ambulances set on fire – as three appear in court over attack

Police have made a new arrest over an ‘arson attack’ in Golders Green that saw four Jewish community ambulances set alight.

The arrest took place at Westminster Magistrates’ Court this morning, and was announced by prosecutor Emma Harraway during the hearing.

This comes after two men and one youth appeared at the London court today charged with arson being reckless as to whether life would be endangered.

The charges come in connection with the alleged attack on ambulances outside a synagogue in north-west London last week.

Hamza Iqbal, 20, Rehan Khan, 19, both British nationals from Leyton, and a 17-year-old boy, a dual British and Pakistani national from Walthamstow, were arrested on Wednesday. They were charged on Friday.

Iqbal and Khan, who is a college student, have been remanded in custody after they were charged with the alleged arson attack that took place in the early hours of March 23.

The two men appeared at court wearing a grey prison-issue tracksuit and spoke only to confirm their name, date of birth and address. As Iqbal was taken to the cells, a member of the public gallery said: ‘Take care son, yeah.’

The 17-year-old boy, also charged with the same offence, was remanded into youth detention accommodation after appearing in court.

The accused, who were arrested as part of a Counter Terrorism Policing investigation, did not enter pleas.

Ms Harraway told the court today: ‘There is significant evidence that this was a premeditated and targeted attack against the Jewish community.’

The motivation behind the alleged attack is not yet known, the court heard, which ‘specifically targeted’ the ambulances.

The incident in north-west London saw vehicles set alight in the early hours of last Monday outside a synagogue in a suspected anti-Semitic hate crime, resulting in £1million worth of damage, Westminster Magistrates Court heard.

The firebombing caused gas canisters in the ambulances, from the volunteer-led service Hatzola, to explode.

Two men aged 45 and 47 were arrested in the following days in connection with the incident. They have been released on bail until late April.

The two British nationals were held by counter terrorism detectives at addresses in north-west London and central London, on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.

Police said earlier this week the incident was not ‘at this stage’ declared as terrorism, but due to ‘the circumstances of the incident’ counter terror detectives have been leading the probe.

The three defendants are set to appear at the Old Bailey on April 24.

Commander Helen Flanagan, head of Counter Terrorism Policing London, said: ‘Since this appalling attack last week, we have been working continuously to investigate and identify those responsible.

‘The investigation has now reached a stage where three people have been charged and they will now appear in court.’

She had previously said: ‘We know concern among the Jewish community remains high, but I hope these arrests show that we are doing everything we can to bring those responsible to justice.

‘As I’ve said previously, the support we had from the local community since this attack took place has been incredible, and we will continue to work closely with local policing colleagues to do everything we can to keep the public safe.’

Six fire engines and 40 firefighters rushed to Highfield Road, near the Mchzike Hadath synagogue, at about 1.45am on March 23. No one was injured.

CCTV footage showed three hooded figures apparently pouring accelerant on the ambulances and setting them on fire.

The head of the Metropolitan Police said after the attack the force was investigating whether an Islamist group with possible Iranian state links was behind the arson.

Investigators were looking into claims by a suspected Iran-backed group called Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia that it had been behind the attack.

A video was posted on Telegram featuring a map of the location where the ambulances were kept and footage of them on fire.

Gas canisters kept in the ambulances exploded after they were set alight, with nearby homes evacuated as a precaution.

The force of the blasts caused windows to break in a nearby block of flats.

The synagogue, which is one of the oldest in Europe, had its roof damaged and stained glass windows smashed in the fire.

The volunteer-run Jewish organisation Hatzola, founded in 1979, provides free emergency medical response and transportation to hospitals.

In the wake of the arson, the Met deployed an additional 264 officers as well as specialist teams including firearms, the mounted branch and drones, to boost security for Jewish communities in the run up to Passover.

Condemning the ‘deeply shocking’ attack, Sir Keir Starmer said in the aftermath: ‘My thoughts are with the Jewish community who are waking up this morning to this horrific news.

‘Antisemitism has no place in our society. Anyone with any information must come forward to the police.’

Gideon Falter, chief executive of Campaign Against Antisemitism, said: ‘We are absolutely heartbroken that this is how low Britain has sunk.

‘This horrific act truly plumbs new depths.’

Health Secretary Wes Streeting announced the four ambulances would be replaced by vehicles from the London Ambulance Service.

Det Chief Supt Luke Williams, who leads policing in North West London said today: ‘We know local community concern continues to remain high – particularly for our Jewish communities as they now enter the Passover festival period.

‘Since the arson attack, we have put in place an enhanced, bespoke policing plan, which has been focused around vulnerable areas not only in Golders Green, but right across London.

‘This has involved a significant number of officers on the ground, with the aim of protecting communities, disrupting offenders, and detecting crime.

‘This activity is ongoing and will continue over the coming days and weeks and includes specialist officers and capability being deployed alongside local officers.

‘It is also being supported by highly visible armed police patrols to serve as a deterrent to anyone seeking to cause our communities harm.’

He described these as ‘precautionary measures and not in response to any specific threat’.

‘We continue to work alongside our colleagues in Counter Terrorism Policing to support their investigation,’ he added.

‘We will also continue to work closely with local communities and our partners to listen to their concerns and respond to these.’

Gregg Wallace attempts food show comeback with 12-hour TikTok ‘cookathon’ sponsored by ‘Britain’s favourite halal butchers’

Gregg Wallace appears to have made an attempt to relaunch his career on social media as he gears up to host a 12-hour TikTok ‘cookathon’ sponsored by ‘Britain’s favourite halal butchers’.

The ex-MasterChef host, 61, who was dismissed by the BBC last July following a probe into 83 historical allegations of workplace misconduct, 45 of which were upheld, is taking part in a 12-hour ‘cookathon’ with Malik Butchers.

Wallace is set to collaborate with the Wolverhampton business, which describes itself as ‘Britain’s favourite halal butchers’ as well as the home of the ‘UK’s most expensive halal sarnie’, on Sunday.

‘I’m excited to announce a brand new live cookery show on TikTok, Gregg’s Kitchen, and it will showcase on Sunday,’ he said, adding that the show would include ‘amazing dishes’, ‘incredible guests’ and ‘very good offers’ from the platform’s shop.

In a separate post on Facebook, Manny Malik, who runs the butchers alongside his brother, Adnaan, told the grocer that the moment had arrived for a cooking show ‘where you can interact and even buy the foods that are being cooked’.

Wallace appears to have made a bid at launching a social media career, with several plugs on his TikTok account, workout videos as well as making personalised clips on Cameo.

In one of his latest posts, he divulged that he had been ‘forced to change [his] life at 60’ after losing his job, income, earnings and having several ‘sleepless nights’.

He added: ‘But I’m not looking for sympathy. The lesson here is that we can all rebuild at any age’

The ex-MasterChef host, 61, was dismissed by the BBC last July following a probe into 83 historical allegations of workplace misconduct, 45 of which were upheld

It comes as he a series of allegations were made against the TV host in 2024, with several celebrities among those who made claims against him, including Vanessa Feltz and Kirstie Allsopp.

At the time, Wallace refuted the accusations as being launched by a ‘handful of women of a certain age’.

He was later sacked by the broadcaster after a review by law firm Lewis Silkin upheld 45 of the 83 allegations against him, which mostly occurred between 2005 and 2018 and included one of ‘unwelcome physical contact’.

It said the ‘majority of the substantiated allegations against Mr Wallace related to inappropriate sexual language and humour’, adding that ‘a smaller number of allegations of other inappropriate language and being in a state of undress were also substantiated’.

Wallace issued an apology saying he was ‘deeply sorry for any distress caused’ and that he ‘never set out to harm or humiliate’.

The former presenter later sued the BBC and BBC Studios Distribution Limited for up to £10,000 in damages over allegations they failed to disclose his personal data, which caused him ‘distress and harassment,’ before dropping his claim in February.

It comes as Wallace is now channelling his time into teaching children and adults diagnosed with the condition to live self-sufficient lives after being inspired by his son, Sid, six, who is autistic and nonverbal.

Addressing Instagram followers in March, he confirmed: ‘I’m studying to be an autism coach and I am learning many things. One of the things I’ve learnt is autism should not be seen as a deficit.

‘Yes, of course there are challenges, undoubtedly, but every single autistic person has unique strengths, strengths that can and should be built upon.’

The presenter, who was axed from MasterChef last July in the wake of the allegations, insisted that only two complaints were ever raised during his 20-year tenure

The presenter, who was axed from MasterChef last July in the wake of the allegations, insisted that only two complaints were ever raised during his 20-year tenure

Wallace previously insisted that only two complaints were ever raised during his 20-year tenure, with the remaining 43 upheld claims emerging only after ‘sensationalised (and untrue)’ initial allegations became public in late 2024.

An allegation Wallace’s Masterchef co-host John Torode used racist language was also upheld by Lewis Silkin report.

Meanwhile, the BBC said the 60-year-old’s contract was not renewed due to the use of ‘an extremely offensive racist term’ in the workplace.

Torode has denied the claim, stating that he could not remember the incident and does not believe it happened.

The former TV host also appears to have launched a social media career after leaving the broadcaster, sharing episodes of his own YouTube cookery show alongside his wife and former Celebrity Masterchef winner, Lisa Faulkner.

Meanwhile, in a Substack post shared in January, Wallace claimed the probe against him was ‘not a legal one’ and that ‘the standard of proof would not stand up in a court of law’, comparing it instead to an internal human resources (HR) process.

Wallace alleged an ‘open invitation’ was sent out asking anyone who had ‘ever worked with me (or met me) to come forward and tell their stories’ after his reputation was already ‘being dragged through the mud’.

The former presenter pointed out that he had interacted with ‘tens of thousands of people’ over his career, including six new contestants every filming day, changing film crews, other show participants, and attendees at charity events and industry parties.

‘Now, imagine that out of all those people, anyone with a grievance, a dislike, or a misremembered moment is encouraged to join in the investigation into you,’ he wrote. ‘Do you think you would survive without any complaints being made against you?’

He claimed that ‘all but one’ of the 45 upheld complaints dated from before 2018, when he says he received a formal warning about his language.

A preliminary hearing into his claim for £10,000 in damages was cancelled shortly before it was due to take place on February 16, with a BBC spokesperson later confirming that Wallace had discontinued the claim.

They said: ‘Shortly in advance of a hearing, due February 16, Mr Wallace discontinued his claim.

‘He is not receiving any payment in costs or damages from either BBC or BBC Studios.’

Wallace began co-presenting MasterChef in 2005, but it was announced in November 2024 that he would step away from his role while the misconduct allegations were investigated.

The Daily Mail has approached Gregg Wallace’s representatives for comment.

Five police officers have been taken off duty after a bag of guns was found outside Sadiq Khan’s home.

Armed officers assigned to protect the Mayor of London reportedly left multiple guns and ammunition outside of his south London residence.

The bag contained an MP5 semi-automatic Heckler & Koch carbine, a Glock pistol, a Taser, and various rounds of ammunition.

They were discovered by member of the public Jordan Griffiths.

He told The Sun: ‘I could not believe my eyes and took some pictures as proof of what we had found.

‘I called the police and told them what I had found and within a few minutes they turned up to collect the guns.

‘When they arrived they were really shocked. They looked through the bag carefully and hurriedly took them away.

‘I was told they had been left there by one of Sadiq Khan’s security officers, which made sense as he lives here.’

The Metropolitan Police said: ‘At around 9.40pm, a member of the public called police after finding a bag containing Met-issued firearms and a Taser on a street in south London.

‘Within seven minutes of the call to police, officers arrived at the scene and safely recovered the items.

‘We are urgently reviewing the circumstances of this incident and recognise the concern it may cause.

‘At this stage it is believed the bag was misplaced by on-duty officers a short time before the member of the public located it.

‘We recognise the concern this may cause and an internal review was immediately launched into the circumstances.’

Green Party plans to reduce the speed limit on Britain’s motorways to 55mph under Zack Polanski’s ‘war on motorists’

The Green Party wants to reduce the speed limit on Britain’s motorways to just 55mph under Zack Polanski’s plans to wage a ‘war on motorists’.

Taxes on driving would be ‘increased incrementally’ while parking spaces would be ‘steadily reduced’ in a bid to drive people from the roads, newly unearthed proposals show.

The policies seen by the Daily Mail also state that motorists would be forced to re-take their driving test as often as every five years as ‘car driving is not a right but a privilege’.

And the speed limit on motorways and dual carriageways would be reduced by 15mph and controversial Welsh-style 20mph limits would be imposed in all built up areas under the plans.

The Conservatives have accused Mr Polanski of pursuing a ‘war on drivers’ and said the Green leader wants to ‘make driving slower, more expensive and, in many cases, impossible’.

However the Greens have stood by the policies – arguing their ‘evidence-based measures’ would reduce road traffic accidents and save drivers money on fuel.

The official Green Party transport policy says: ‘On major roads outside of built up areas, the maximum speed limit allowed would be 55mph, to maximise the efficiency of fuel use as well as improving safety.’

Mr Polanski’s party would pursue a deliberate policy of travel ‘demand management’ if they were in government, with the primary objective being to reduce ‘speeds and volume of motorised traffic’.

As part of this, the policy adds: ‘Road fuel tax is an important factor in encouraging users to be more mileage conscious and to opt for smaller, more fuel efficient cars. The Green Party would increase road fuel tax incrementally.’

Driving tests would also be made ‘more comprehensive and stricter’ and they ‘would be done at regular intervals (e.g. 5 years) to ensure that drivers remain competent’, it states.

And Mr Polanski plans to ‘steadily reduce’ the amount of parking available and make people pay to park outside their own homes as ‘car parking is not a right that any driver has on the road’.

The policy says: ‘The Green Party would amend and enforce planning rules to steadily reduce car parking requirements.’

Shadow transport secretary Richard Holden accused Mr Polanski of being ‘out of touch’ with the public and said the plans would be a ‘Green light for madness’.

He said: ‘This will drive up costs for working families and bring the country to a standstill. It is completely out of touch with how people live.

‘Only the Conservatives will stand up for drivers, protect your freedom to move, and keep Britain moving.’

It comes after the Mail revealed that illegal migrants would be given a free house and paid a wage with no requirement to work under the Greens plans for ‘a world without borders’.

Mr Polanski’s party also plans to legalise all drugs including heroin and crack cocaine because they ‘enhance human relationships and human creativity’.

And Britain’s armed forces would see drastic cuts and the nuclear deterrent would be scrapped under the Green’s official ‘non-offensive defence strategy’.

Former Green Party leader Baroness Natalie Bennett said: ‘Green Party transport policy is focused on making public transport reliable, available, affordable and high quality.

‘Evidence shows that many people would choose public transport if it were more convenient and better value. Alongside this, Greens support evidence-based measures to reduce road traffic accidents and improve fuel efficiency, helping to cut costs for motorists.’

Race to save American pilot from behind enemy lines as Iran claims it downed two jets… and toll of US wounded in war hits 365

US forces are in a race against time to save a missing fighter jet pilot whose aircraft was shot down by Iranian air defenses in a chaotic day of fighting – after a second American aircraft was also downed.

Iranian state media shared footage on Friday appearing to show a US A-10 Warthog plane being blown out of the sky, and reports say a second US aircraft, an F-15E Strike Eagle, was also downed hours earlier.

The joint incidents led two pilots to eject into enemy territory, and the F-15E pilot remains unaccounted for after US forces successfully saved the A-10 pilot in a daring rescue mission.

US forces are now desperately searching behind enemy lines to retrieve the missing pilot, with an urgent rescue mission underway.

On Friday evening, updated Pentagon data also revealed the number of US service members wounded in the Iran war has risen to 365 soldiers.

The total included 247 Army soldiers, 63 Navy sailors, 19 Marines and 36 Air Force airmen. The death toll for the conflict remains at 13 US service members.

Following reports that the two US aircrafts were shot down on Friday, White House officials said President Donald Trump was briefed on the relief efforts.

A senior administration official told the Daily Mail that the President’s national security team is gathered at the White House and the President has been working all day from the Oval Office, or the Oval’s dining room, receiving updates.

In a brief phone interview, Trump declined to discuss details of the search and rescue operation, and insisted that it would not affect ongoing negotiations with Iran.

When asked by NBC News reporter Garrett Haake whether the plane incidents could end negotiations between Iran and the US, the President responded: ‘No, not at all. No, it’s war. We’re in war, Garrett.’

It marked the first time a US jet has been downed by enemy fire since the start of the war 35 days ago.

Meanwhile, Newsmax reported that a US Black Hawk was hit by enemy fire while conducting rescue operations for the pilots. The crew is reportedly accounted for and is safe.

An A-10 Warthog combat plane crashed in the Persian Gulf near the Strait on Hormuz on Friday but the pilot was rescued, according to the New York Times.

Later Friday, Iranian state media claimed credit for the plane crash, saying Iranian defense forces struck the A-10.

Iranian state media also urged civilians to capture the pilots on the Strike Eagle, with a ‘reward’ offered by the Islamic regime.

Israeli media reported that the missing airmen has likely sent out his emergency location signal out to the rescue team.

Footage has emerged of tribesman shooting at what appears to be an Air Force HC-130J Combat King II, a specialized search and rescue plane.

Separate videos purported to show a US KC-130 refueling tanker and two HH-60 Pave Hawk search and rescue helicopters.

Iranian media released images showing debris as well as ejector seats from the downed F-15E, which costs approximately $100 million.

An anchor on Iranian state media urged local residents in Southern Iran to hunt down and hand over the ‘enemy pilot’ to regime authorities.

The local TV channel is based in Kohkilouyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, an intensely rural and mountainous region, the Associated Press reported.

Viewers were also told to ‘shoot them if you see them,’ referring to US aircrafts flying low in the region in an apparent search for the crew members.

The regime has previously made a series of false claims about shooting down piloted US planes.

However, Friday was the first time state media has called on the public to look for the suspected American pilots.

If the regime did successfully shoot down a fighter jet, it would mark a major escalation in the war.

Trump vowed during an address to the nation on Wednesday night to wind down the conflict in the coming weeks.

As the war now enters its 35th day, Iran has launched new attacks on Gulf energy sites with strikes on a desalination plant and oil refinery in Kuwait as well as a gas complex in Abu Dhabi.

Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed most of Iran’s steel production has been destroyed after the US and Israel targeted facilities.

In a new video posted today, Netanyahu said: ‘Together with our American friends, we continue to crush the terror regime in Iran. We are eliminating commanders, bombing bridges, bombing infrastructure.

‘In recent days, the Air Force has destroyed 70% of Iran’s steel production capacity. This is a tremendous achievement that deprives the Revolutionary Guards of both financial sources and the ability to produce a large number of weapons.

‘In full coordination between myself and President Trump, between the IDF and the United States Army, we will continue to crush Iran. This regime is weaker than ever – Israel is stronger than ever.’

Stunning first glimpse of Earth sent by Artemis crew

Stunning first glimpse of Earth sent by Artemis crew
Hello, world (Picture: NASA)

This is how planet Earth looks to the Artemis II astronauts.

The crew travelling on board the Artemis II rocket have sent through the first images of Earth as it looks from their POV.

The surreal snaps were taken by the NASA astronaut and Artemis Commander Reid Wiseman, who is one of the four-strong team on their way to the moon.

It shows Earth from the Orion spacecraft’s window after it completed the translunar injection burn, which took the rocket out of Earth’s orbit.

This image provided by NASA shows a downlink image of Earth taken by NASA Artemis II astronaut commander Reid Wiseman inside the Orion capsule on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Eagle-eyed viewers can spot two auroras on the top right and bottom left, with a zodiacal light glimmering on the background as the Earth eclipses the Sun.

A second image shows the view from one of the Orion’s four windows.

NASA said: ‘We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That’s us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.’

Read here how long it will take for the astronauts to reach the moon.

These are the first two images shared to the world aboard the historic Moon mission.

Wiseman is heading to the moon and back with Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen.

The crew are inching closer towards the moon inside the spacecraft, which has been described as cosy after taking off from Florida on April 1.

They will be carrying out all their daily duties inside the 330-cubic-foot capsule – roughly the size of a minivan.

It will be their home for 10 days until it plunges back on Earth and into the Pacific Ocean.

The astronauts have all gone through special cosmic toilet training to deal with the pesky lack of gravity.

Iran’s president suggests Trump intent on ‘massive war crime’ over ‘Stone Age’ threat

Iran’s president has questioned whether Donald Trump is intent on carrying out a ‘massive war crime’ over his threat to bomb Tehran back to the ‘Stone Age’.

Masoud Pezeshkian made the suggestion following a conversation he had with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, whom has also spoken to Trump in recent days.

He wrote on X: ‘Does threatening to send an entire nation back to the Stone Age mean anything other than a massive war crime?

‘This was the question I asked my Finnish counterpart, who is a jurist. History is full of those who paid a heavy price for their silence in the face of criminals.’

White House requests giant $1.5 trillion defense budget amid Iran war

The White House has sent a spending proposal calling for a huge $1.5 trillion US defense budget next year as it faces increased costs due to the war in Iran.

The total year-on-year increase in Pentagon spending would be the largest since World War II, US media reported, although presidential budgets are wish lists that have to be approved by Congress, rather than binding orders.

‘The budget builds upon the historic $1 trillion overall defense topline for 2026 and requests $1.5 trillion in total budgetary resources for 2027,’ the document reads.

‘This is a $445 billion, or 42 percent, increase from the 2026 total resource level.’

Iran airs footage of US rescue mission amid claims warplane was shot down

Iran has aired footage of an alleged US search and rescue effort amid claims an American warplane was shot down over the country earlier today.

Iranian television channels have shared video of a helicopter said to be flying low over the countryside across southern Iran apparently trying to locate the pilot.

It comes after Iranian military earlier today claimed it has brought down a F-35 fighter jet and forced it to crash.

However, pictures posted by Iranian media of the wreckage appeared to match an F-15 Strike Eagle aircraft based at a British RAF base.

The US military and the White House have not immediately responded to requests for comment.

Trump insists Strait of Hormuz can be opened ‘easily’

‘With a little more time, we can easily OPEN THE HORMUZ STRAIT, TAKE THE OIL, & MAKE A FORTUNE. IT WOULD BE A ‘GUSHER’ FOR THE WORLD???’ Trump posted.

The message, on his Truth Social platform, did not explain how the US could end Iranian control over the Hormuz waterway or what oil Trump was referring to.

Iran puts BOUNTY on American pilots with civilians urged to help capture

Iranian state media has urged civilians to capture American pilots after the regime claimed it shot down a US fighter jet.

The Iranian state-run Mehr News agency aired footage on Friday of a female anchor calling on civilians to help capture pilots of an American F-15E Strike Eagle that the regime says was allegedly shot down over Southern Iran.

Axios confirmed on Friday that Iran had shot down the fighter jet, citing Iranian media and a source familiar with the incident, and reported that a search-and-rescue operation is underway to locate the two crew members.

Iran claims US pilot likely captured by Iranian forces

An American pilot of a warplane that was apparently shot down by Iran has likely been captured by Tehran, Iranian state media is reporting.

The Tasnim news agency is reporting the pilot ejected and landed in central Iran this morning. According to Iranian media, the US military attempted to extract the pilot before he was likely captured.

Iran earlier claimed it has shot down a second F-35 plane after it forced one to make an emergency landing in the Middle East on March 19.

US military has yet to comment on the claim but has regularly debunked Iran’s claims including boasts another warplane was shot down over Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump posts on Truth Social… but doesn’t mention Iran

Donald Trump has fired off his first Truth Social post today but has not mentioned Iran.

Trump said: ‘Vice President JD Vance is now in charge of “FRAUD” in the United States.

‘It is massive and pervasive, and the job he will be doing, in conjunction with many great people within the Trump Administration, will be a major factor in how great the future of our Country will be.’

Last night Trump posted Iran’s electric power plants will be targeted in the next strikes after the B1 bridge was partially destroyed yesterday.
