Trump accepts another medal he didn’t win as Olympian gifts Order of Ikkos: ‘I knew I liked her’
US President Donald Trump’s medal collection is growing even if he is not winning them himself. The latest medal for Trump was gifted by Olympian Kaillie Humphries.
Donald Trump has happily accepted another medal that he didn’t win as his collection keeps growing. The latest medal was handed over to the President of the United States of America (USA) on Thursday at the White House during an event marking Women’s History Month.
At the event, Trump was given the Order of Ikkos by Olympian bobsledder Kaillie Humphries, who won two bronze medals for the USA at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

Interestingly, the Order of the Ikkos, which was created in 2008, is presented by American medal-winning athletes to a coach, mentor, or any other person who they feel has inspired them to success.
“I’m so honoured to present this, my Order of Ikkos medal to you, Donald Trump,” Humphries said while making the announcement.
Trump replied: “Wow. I knew I liked her.”

Humphries then went on to add that Trump’s pushback against transgender athletes is having a positive impact on women’s sports.
“So we only get one, but I want to recognize the support and impact you had on women’s sports throughout the Olympic movement, specifically standing up to keep biological women in women’s sports, to keep the field of play safe and allow for fair competition,” Humphries said.
“I believe this actually makes you the first president in history to ever be awarded the Order of the Ikkos as well, so thank you,” she added.
While praising Humphries, Trump said: “I liked her from the first second, now I know why. That’s really nice, beautiful.”
Trump also took pictures with Humphries while holding the newest medal he had never won.
Trump has been awarded multiple medals and awards in his latest tenure as US President that either did not exist earlier, or he didn’t win, including the
FIFA Peace Prize, the “Undisputed Champion of Beautiful Clean Coal” Award and the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, which was recently handed over to him by the real winner and Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado.
