A legendary run in numbers

A complicated end and what lies ahead

Despite his legendary status, Salah’s final season has been turbulent. After a dip in form, he admitted feeling “thrown under the bus”, with reports of tension between him and manager Arne Slot. His output also dropped by his standards, with just a handful of league goals this season.Liverpool, meanwhile, are struggling with injuries, lack of squad depth, and inconsistency, leaving them facing a major rebuild.

For now, attention turns to giving him a fitting farewell.Whatever comes next, Salah leaves behind a legacy defined by numbers, trophies, and unforgettable moments, cementing his place as one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever players.

Manchester United keen on signing Premier League centre-back with £55 million price-tag: Reports

Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing Brentford defender Nathan Collins. They will, however, have to compete with multiple Premier League clubs for his signature.

As per TeamTalk, the Red Devils are looking to strengthen their defense and midfield in the summer. They have identified Collins as a potential option for centre-back, with speculation about the futures of their current defenders. Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the Republic of Ireland international.

Collins has impressed during his time at Brentford since arriving from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £23 million in 2023. He has made 110 appearances for them and also contributed six goals and nine assists. He has been a mainstay on Keith Andrews’ side, who is competing for European places in the Premier League.

Collins has also earned 36 caps for the Republic of Ireland. Hence, with his contract expiring in 2029, Brentford are expected to demand around £55 million for his signature in the summer. Manchester United have shown the most interest in signing him, as per the aforementioned report.

As per TeamTalk, Manchester United are also looking to sign a left-back in the summer to compete with Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu.

Manchester United star shares thoughts on Harry Maguire’s future at the club

Harry Maguire’s contract at Manchester United is set to expire in the summer. There have been reports about a potential contract extension, but there is nothing certain.

Meanwhile, Leny Yoro has said that he hopes Maguire stays at Old Trafford. Following the Red Devils’ 3-1 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League on March 15, he said (h/t Mirror):

“Having Harry in the team is good for us. I hope he’s going to extend his contract and he can stay with us. With all the experiences he has, he spoke to me a lot on the pitch and gave a lot of tips. That is helping me a lot.”

“Even before the game, during the week, we speak a lot about the opponent. Sometimes he speaks before the game, or at halftime about positioning as well. Playing with him is really good for me,” he added.

Manchester United signed Maguire from Leicester City in 2019 for a record fee for a defender at £80 million. He has made 265 appearances and also contributed 17 goals and nine assists.

The 33-year-old has also been called up for England’s friendlies against Uruguay and Japan this month.
