‘90s teen heartthrob unrecognizable as he reunites with TV show co-stars

“Sabrina the Teenage Witch” alum Nate Richert had a rare reunion with his TV co-stars.

The ’90s heartthrob, who portrayed Harvey Kinkle, snapped a photo with his on-screen love interest, Melissa Joan Hart, and Beth Broderick, per an Instagram photo on Tuesday.

Kinkle, 47, smirked while posing alongside the duo in a hat and a button-up.

“When the magic fam comes together!” Hart, who played the role of Sabrina Spellman, captioned the snap.

While Broderick, who took on the role of Sabrina’s aunt Zelda Spellman, was in attendance, actress Caroline Rhea, who played Sabrina’s other aunt Hilda Spellman, wasn’t.

Fans gushed over the reunion, with one writing, “OMG this so ICONIC 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍.”

“Harvey, Sabrina, and Aunt Zelda!! ❤️❤️❤️,” another wrote.

The castmates have seemingly kept close ties and were last publicly seen together at dinner in March 2024.

That same month, the trio came together to attend ’90s Con.

“Sabrina the Teenage Witch” aired for seven seasons from 1996 to 2003.

Richert, meanwhile, stepped away from the limelight after the hit series concluded.

The former actor has recently kept busy with his “The Nate and Curtis Podcast” alongside his co-host, Curtis Andersen. The latter, who portrayed Gordie, was a recurring character in the series.

According to the Daily Mail, Richert revealed in 2018 that he was juggling several jobs, including as a janitor.

“I’m extremely lucky to have had any success at all, let alone solid work in film and TV for six years (20 years ago),” he previously wrote on X. “I’m currently a maintenance man, a janitor, a carpenter and do whatever random jobs I can get to pay the bills.”

Additionally, Richert posts sketch comedy clips on social media.

BBC is airing a night of David Tennant Doctor Who episodes – and we’re confused

BBC is airing a night of David Tennant Doctor Who episodes – and we’re confused
Twenty years after his season opener, BBC is celebrating David Tennant (Picture: BBC)

If Doctor Who has taught us anything, it’s that time flies. Somehow, it has been 20 years since David Tennant started his full-time tenure as the 10th Doctor.

After a minuscule appearance at the end of Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston’s finale, Parting of Ways, in 2005, he spent much of his full-length debut festive special, The Christmas Invasion, asleep in Jackie Tyler’s bed.

So, come April 2006, Whovians finally got acquainted with the brand new, spanking Doctor in season two, episode one, New Earth, where he quickly forged himself as a fan-favourite.

Tennant went on to star in seasons three and four, return for the 50th anniversary and regenerate into the 14th Doctor for 2023’s 60th anniversary special.

(It’s confusing, we know. We’re hoping that if you’re interested in a night of Doctor Who reruns, you have a grip of the basic lore).

Now, the BBC is marking 20 years since that fateful season two episode with five hours of non-stop David Tennant Doctor action on BBC Three on Thursday, April 16.

April 16 marks two decades since New Earth, introducing the world proper to Ten (Picture: BBC)

Starting at 7:05pm, it will air the three 60th anniversary specials – The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder, The Giggle – where Catherine Tate also returns as Donna Noble.

Next up is Talking Doctor Who, where the 54-year-old Scottish actor ‘tells the story of the Doctor’s Classic era’, followed by a trio of behind-the-scenes Unleashed episodes diving into the 60th anniversary trio.

All in all, with popcorn in hand, it’ll be wrapped up by half-past midnight.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Why on earth would the broadcaster air episodes that came out only three years ago and not feature any 10th Doctor adventures, the very anniversary of which they are marking?

I’m afraid, to that we have no answers. Your guess is as good as ours!

As one X user, Kit, The Great Inferno, put it: ‘Personally, I’d have chosen five or six all-timer episodes of Tennant if we were doing this.’

Strangely, the channel is only airing the 60th anniversary specials followed by back-to-back documentaries (Picture: BBC)

Which David Tennant episodes would we have picked?

Senior TV reporter and Whovian Asyia Iftikhar shares her picks

New Earth: Although this is not the best episode, it is the one we’re using to mark twenty years of his Doctor, so I think it deserves to kick off the night.

The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit: A stellar two-parter that shows just how unsettling and confronting the show can be.

Doomsday: Look, it’s a well-remembered end of an era for a reason!

Human Nature/Family of Blood: If it were up to me, I would do the six-episode run from Human Nature to the Last of the Time Lords – Martha Jones, the queen that you are.

Midnight: Although it doesn’t have much Donna in it, this episode remains a standout adventure from Tennant’s time on the Tardis.

Honourable mentions: School Reunion, Turn Left, End of Time Part One and Two, Wild Blue Yonder

The Twenty Years of Tennant special evening comes amid growing speculation that the screen star could be making a comeback for the 2026 Christmas special after Billie Piper’s unexpected return.

There’s no word yet from showrunner Russell T Davies on how the plot will unfold, but with the 14th Doctor (also played by David Tennant) currently alive and living in Donna’s back garden, a return is certainly possible.

David Tennant as the Doctor
There have been rumblings that the Scottish actor could be back for the 2026 special (Picture: BBC)

What’s more, the Rivals star is returning to the Whoniverse to ‘save the world again’ with the Big Finish audio productions.

‘Big Finish makes it dangerously easy – you turn up, have a lovely time, and suddenly you’ve saved the universe again,’ Tennant said in an official announcement.

Meanwhile, some fans believe that a post on the in-universe UNIT blogpost discussing the disappearance of Rose Tyler could be another sign of what’s to come.

Twenty Years of Tennant will air on BBC Three from 7:05pm on Thursday, April 16. Doctor Who will return for a 2026 Christmas special.

Jim Belushi says Oregon ranch is his ‘spiritual’ sanctuary with sweat lodge, roaming cattle

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Jim Belushi has it all: success in a decades-long career, legions of friends in high and low places, and a sweat lodge on his Oregon ranch.

The host of the A&E series “K9 PD with Jim Belushi” exclusively told Fox News Digital that his “sanctuary” up north is not only an idyllic retreat for him, but also serves as an incredibly “spiritual” haven.

“I love Oregon, it’s a beautiful property,” Belushi explained of his ranch, which is also featured on a reality series about his cannabis farm. “I’ve got a sweat lodge. I built a sweat lodge there. They do all kinds of little ceremonial Native American practices.”

Belushi, 71, planted roots in the southern part of the state nearly two decades ago.

“There’s 50 cows on my property right now that just had 50 calves, and it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. These little calves running around chasing each other,” Belushi said. “Actually, last night, I got video of it.

“They broke down the fence and came over to my place. They’re going, ‘Where’s Jim?’ So I had 60, 70 cows in my front yard. They wrangled them up and put them back in the fenced area.”

He added, “It’s beautiful. Very nice people up there. It’s a beautiful, beautiful place.”

While Belushi faces unique challenges on his farm, working with animals isn’t something he’s afraid of. The comedy giant starred as detective Michael Dooley who was paired with police dog Jerry Lee in the 1989 classic, “K-9.”

Two years later, he played a homeless con artist who caught a break with a rich lawyer, thanks in part to the antics of his orphaned daughter in the John Hughes classic, “Curly Sue.”

“There’s an old saying that goes don’t work with dogs and don’t work with children,” Belushi chuckled. “And I did ‘K9’ and ‘Curly Sue.’ What’s different about working with dogs is what you hope every other actor has – the ability to be extremely present.”

He added, “When you’re extremely present, spontaneity happens, and that’s when you capture the magic.”

“There was a moment in ‘K9’ where I was on the couch, and I was leaning in for my first kiss of the girl and the dog was there, and he took his paw and pushed my head down. That wasn’t planned, he wasn’t trained to do that.”

“The cameras were rolling and all I kept thinking as my head went down was, ‘I hope there’s no hair in the film, I hope nobody blew this take,’ because it just was a magic moment.”

Belushi noted that children have a similar presence while working in front of the camera.

“They don’t know the difference between the rolling and cut and action,” he said. “So you gotta be – I’m trained as an improvisational actor, so it helps. You just gotta be in the moment with dogs and react sincerely in that moment.”

He added, “By the way, that’s why they don’t want you to work with children or dogs because the moment that is the most present is the moment that’s the most vulnerable, and vulnerability wins the scene.”

Belushi’s latest endeavor, hosting “K9 PD with Jim Belushi” – which follows officers and their K-9 counterparts in the field with bodycam, dash and drone footage – only amplified his love for animals and the unsung heroes in law enforcement.

“When I did the ‘K-9’ movies, I did ride-alongs, quite a few, in LA, San Diego,” Belushi said. “I went to the academy and worked with the handlers and the dogs and watched training, participated in the training.

“The thing that excited me the most about the ability to do this movie was the relationship that this man or woman had with that animal. It was way beyond having a little small dog and so cute and laying on my lap. They protected each other and they both felt it and knew it.”

He added, “The bond is hard to articulate, but it is really deep. And they take these guys home. And that dog becomes part of their family, and that dog protects that family, and that protects that officer. Not on the street, they’re protecting everybody, including the bad guy. To me, that’s what was the most interesting thing is the relationship between the handler and their animal. It runs really deep.”

“It’s visceral. You’ve got drama, you’ve got a little humor in it, but you really have that warmth between the handler,” Belushi said. “They are in moments of life and death always, and how they care for each other, protect each other — It’s beautiful to watch.”

He added, “This piece of that relationship between the canine and the canine’s officer. I mean, that is what attracted me … And the action. I’m an action guy. I love action.”

Gwen Stefani’s ex Gavin Rossdale makes dig at their co-parenting

Gavin Rossdale has taken a subtle swipe at ex-wife Gwen Stefani over their ‘interesting’ co-parenting style.

The musical duo were married from 2002 until 2016, welcoming three sons in that time: Kingston, 19, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 12.

Their divorce was messy after Gwen, 56, accused Gavin, 60, of extramarital affairs with their nanny, with the Bush frontman agreeing to an ‘unequal split’ of assets.

A decade later, they share joint custody of their boys, but rarely speak publicly about their former relationship.

‘It’s a very, it is an interesting kind of… it’s a two-lane highway, you know, but they don’t ever seem to merge, which is fine,’ Gavin told Fox News Digital.

He quickly added his ex was ‘probably doing the best she can’, and noted that he was also ‘doing the best [he] can’.

Backpedalling a little more, he continued: ‘And the kids are growing up, so I’m a proud proponent of the system. It’s fine.’

London-born Gavin now lives in California, having bought the 6,855-square-foot Los Angeles home after the divorce, with the marriage annulled in 2021.

Meanwhile, Gwen and husband Blake Shelton purchased a $14million (£10.5 million) Californian mansion in 2020, as well as spending time on their Oklahoma ranch.

Speaking about raising the boys, Gavin revealed his biggest priority is ‘making them likeable’ as he doesn’t want to raise ‘jerks’.

‘I think that if you’ve got kids that are unlikable, they’ve got a tough life ahead, you know,’ said the post-grunge star.

‘Life is hard enough without being a jerk, without being kind of aware of other people, mindful of other people, considerate of other people, empathetic.’

Gavin is also the father of model Daisy Lowe, 37, acting as her godfather until a paternity test in 2004 revealed she was his biological daughter.

He explained his approach to life is a ‘steady’ one, reflecting on how things are ‘very, very hard’ for people at the moment.

‘I think it just comes down to playing well, being enthusiastic, and having a good energy. And if you bring good energy, there’s no reason why people can’t respond’.

His comment comes months after Gwen became caught up in controversy when she supported an anti-abortion prayer app.

The No Doubt star appeared in an advert for Hallow, a ‘pay-to-pray’ app which costs $69.99 (£52.50) annually or $9.99 (£7.50) a month.

Podcast host Matt Bernstein called the app ‘religious grifting’ and criticised Gwen’s involvement, highlighting the concerning rhetoric over bodily autonomy.

The Hollaback Girl didn’t respond to the backlash and has continued to work with the app, having rediscovered religion after giving birth to Apollo aged 44.

Gwen was raised Catholic, going to church regularly into her 20s, before her music career took over and she ‘fell away’ from her faith.

In June last year, Gavin clarified that he is an atheist but grew up in the church while speaking to Kerrang!.

‘I think it’s the most beautiful language, and I find myself going back to it again and again, because it suits my temperament,’ he shared.

He continued: ‘I’m not sure [there’s] much beyond that. I just like how certain things sound.’

‘I starred in The White Lotus – the twist in my Netflix horror is genius’

*Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen spoilers ahead*

Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen might be an unsettling watch, but it’s already a Netflix hit, riding high at the top of the streamer’s ranking of its own content.

With the producing powers of the Duffer brothers and starring Camila Morrone and Adam DiMarco, the nuptials horror manages to sustain the ratcheted-up tension of that title through its eight-part run, culminating in one gruesome wedding at a remote country home.

DiMarco, who plays one half of the engaged couple, told Metro that even he was creeped out while filming the show, particularly when Ted Levine’s character (mild spoiler!) peels back fur from the carcass of a dead dog, for taxidermy purposes.

‘That got me. I was like, this is real, this isn’t a prop,’ said DiMarco. ‘That kind of stuff freaked me out. I’m not great with body horror or gore. I prefer a psychological thriller.’

And yet he signed on to this horror and gore-forward show. Despite what it might look like on the screen, DiMarco assured us they did have fun filming, even with everything that comes with horror: days upon days of night shoots and plentiful fake blood (those who have watched the finale will know), which brings its own lengthy clean-up job.

‘But the juice is worth the squeeze at the end of the day, especially when it turns out like this,’ said DiMarco.

You likely recognised the 35-year-old Canadian actor from the sumptuous Sicily edition of The White Lotus, where he played hopeless romantic Albie. His character here, Nicky, isn’t quite a replica, but certain aspects in the Venn diagram overlap, as DiMarco acknowledged in our interview.

‘I did want to create a little distinction,’ said DiMarco, speaking to us from New York. ‘I feel like Albie was a lover, and then Nicky’s more of a lover and a fighter.’

DiMarco admitted some of Nicky’s decisions leading up to the wedding are…questionable. But part of his job is to excuse that.

‘You kind of have to be your character’s lawyer,’ he said. ‘You have to be able to defend them in their day in court. So I had to sympathise with his choices, even if on a first read, I was like, man, what are you doing?’

As we delved into the show’s tangle of twists (strong spoiler warning here), DiMarco confessed he fell for a couple of them himself.

The Sorry Man, who haunts the woods around the cabin, and local serial killer Larry Poole, who used his custard empire as a cover for his crimes, are both named-checked in the first episode.

DiMarco thought either of them would be the show’s Big Bad. That was before the mid-season twist, where we flash back via found footage to Rachel’s (Morrone) traumatic, bloody birth.

‘It turns everything on its head,’ said DiMarco. ‘I felt like the pedal was hit to the floor at that moment. I just couldn’t wait to see where it went. It’s two pretty great misdirects by Haley [Z Boston, the show’s creator].

The Sorry Man lore is teed up by Nicky’s unhinged family, with a monologue DiMarco had doubts the show would be able to justify, until the flashback explains how that mythology came to be.

‘It really makes total sense, which was crazy. When I was reading that, I was like, “Oh this is genius”.’

What the show is actually about is a hereditary curse, which poses its own quandary to the audience: when you get married, how sure can you be that the other person at the altar is actually ‘the one’?

DiMarco and Morrone did much behind the scenes to obscure the answer in viewers’ minds. They mapped out their characters’ relationship history together and added their own moments of physical intimacy to the performance.

Metro’s thoughts on Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen

Read the full four-star review here.

Camila Morrone and Adam DiMarco deliver solid performances, managing plenty of claustrophobic close-ups that would expose lesser actors. They’re wholly believable as a loved-up couple, as well as one questioning whether they’re right for each other.

Unfortunately, that first episode’s tightly-pulled tension isn’t quite maintained through the eight-part run, as Nicky and Rachel’s classic wedding jitters turn into full-blown heebie-jeebies.

The next best bit comes in the fourth episode, when all your expectations about the Sorry Man are gruesomely upended. The standout of Netflix’s You, Victoria Pedretti, makes a welcome appearance, with as good a face for horror as you’re going to get.

SVBIGTH delivers on that titular promise and ends in a blood-soaked fever, which plays out like a panic attack.

‘I think you can express a lot about a couple and their dynamic non-verbally,’ said DiMarco. ‘Just body language and the energy they have between each other.

‘I think we got pretty lucky that we just had something pretty natural immediately there.’

Much of the filming is done in tight close-ups on the actors’ faces, in part to exacerbate that claustrophobic, hair-raising feeling the show trades in. Even as the camera created a literal barrier between DiMarco and Morrone, they found a workaround to be together in scenes.

‘Cami and I would try to extend a hand underneath and we would squeeze each other, just to know there’s something physically connecting you to the other,’ recalled DiMarco. ‘Because there’s nothing to react to if there’s a big camera. Acting is reacting. That’s the classic expression.’

DiMarco and Morrone make a convincing case that they are indeed soulmates. But when your death is on the line, how sure can you be?

Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen is available to stream on Netflix.

Alberta government tables legislation to designate official Alberta whisky label | Globalnews.ca

Alberta is aiming to regulate who can slap an Alberta whisky stamp on spirits produced in the province.

Alberta government tables legislation to designate official Alberta whisky label | Globalnews.ca

In tabling the bill Tuesday, it said it may be the first government in Canada to use artificial intelligence to help draft legislation.

Premier Danielle Smith said distillers told her government that they’re making high-quality whisky but face challenges differentiating their products from other Canadian whisky on the market.

“We think there’s an obvious solution to this challenge: define what Alberta whisky is and protect it in legislation,” the premier said.

She later tipped back a glass of the liquor with industry representatives.

Service Alberta Minister Dale Nally said the bill, if passed, would set out rules requiring whisky to be mashed, fermented, distilled, aged, proofed and bottled in the province to use the Alberta label.

Story continues below advertisement

It must source Alberta water, and at least two-thirds of grain used in making it must be grown in the province.

Alberta distillers could continue making other whisky products that don’t meet the label’s standards.

Nally said he doesn’t anticipate allowing AI to write legislation unfettered, but the government used it to analyze data and come up with the “building blocks” for writing this bill.

“The final product is a combination of all the tools that we used at our disposal, including human eyes, as well as the AI program.”

Nally said branding Alberta whisky is about “building pride” in the product and helping boost its reputation on the world stage.

“Just like Kentucky is known for bourbon and Scotland is known for scotch, we want Alberta to be known for great whisky,” he said.

Story continues below advertisement

He added that he anticipates the proposed legislation to be a significant economic driver.

“Kentucky is a smaller jurisdiction than Alberta, and we have better whisky.”

The government says there are 45 distillers producing whisky in the province, most of which are small craft distillers.

Bryce Parsons, president of the Alberta Craft Distillers Association, called it a defining moment for the province and every craft distiller.

“We’re not just creating whisky. We’re building a circular economy here. Alberta’s growing grain distilled and aged here, driving tourism, supporting farmers and bringing communities together,” he said.

Provincial agency Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis would be responsible for enforcement and inspection to ensure manufacturers using the Alberta Whisky label are following the rules.

Last One Laughing UK fans reveal dream season 3 cast ahead of finale

Last One Laughing UK fans reveal dream season 3 cast ahead of finale
Last One Laughing season 3 has already been confirmed (Picture: Getty/Mike Marsland)

Last One Laughing’s second outing has proven just as big a juggernaut as its first for Amazon Prime Video.

The current six-parter has challenged a fresh batch of British comedians, as well as returning champ Bob Mortimer, to keep a straight face across six hours, all while trying to get their fellow chuckleheads to crack.

As we wait to find out who exactly will be crowned the victor in the season two finale, following in Mortimer’s prize-winning season one footsteps, we got to thinking about who could take on the challenge for season three.

Amazon has already confirmed a third outing of the locked room comedy is on the way, with a Halloween special to boot. Both will still see host Jimmy Carr return in the surveillance state room, alongside his deputy Roisin Conaty.

In an official announcement, the streamer said fans can expect more muffled laughs in 2027. So who should be the next comedians to enter the giant funhouse?

We asked Metro readers to fancast a season three of Last One Laughing and these are the names they shared…

Karl Pilkington

The 53-year-old presenter is probably best known for his work with comic legends Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. He’s also the face of An Idiot Abroad.

Editorial use only Mandatory Credit: Photo by Ken McKay/ITV/REX/Shutterstock (10577754aa) Karl Pilkington 'Lorraine' TV show, London, UK - 09 Mar 2020 EVERYONE'S FAVOURITE IDIOT ABROAD...KARL PILKINGTON 'WHY YOU SHOULDN'T EXPECT TO SEE ME AND RICKY GERVAIS REUNITE ANYTIME SOON...' * Since parting parting company with his long time collaborator Ricky Gervais Karl Pilkington has cemented himself as something of a comedy star in his own right with his critically acclaimed sitcom 'Sick of It' * Today he'll be revealing why his attempts at retirement failed and the things he's well and truly sick of at the moment...
He would ‘slay’, according to readers (Picture: Ken McKay/ITV/REX/Shutterstock)

In recent years he’s racked up a number of IMDb credits of comedy-adjacent shows like Rain Dogs and Ludwig.

We know what you’re thinking, he’s not an out-and-out comedian, but Metro reader Warren White doesn’t think that would be an issue.

They wrote on Facebook: ‘Not strictly a comedian but Karl Pilkington would slay.’ He’s certainly got some comedy chops to his acting career, much like season one’s Daisy May Cooper.

Alex Horne

This is going to be an obvious choice for any Taskmaster fan. Alex Horne co-hosts the show with Greg Davies, after cutting his comedy teeth at the Edinburgh Fringe festival.

Alex Horne in his taskmaster chair
Alex Horne could be behind the ultimate joker (Picture: Channel 4/Simon Webb)

The gag-a-minute Channel 4 show has seen virtually every British comedian pass through its competitive doors. Many of the Last One Laughing lot so far have also been on Taskmaster. So why not the host too?

That’s what Simon Woodley thinks, writing that Horne would be guaranteed to do ‘a brilliant joker’ on the show.

He’s certainly had plenty of practice. Just look at his most recent 24-hour singathon to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, which descended into carnage when Mr Blobby made a middle-of-the-night appearance.

Ricky Gervais

If we’re really fancasting a season three, why not aim high?

Ricky Gervais is one of the most successful and well-known comedians working today, even though he does come with a dollop of controversy (check out the personal life section on his Wikipedia page).

The 64-year-old can also be something of a contrarian, so it’s doubtful whether he would want to take part in a mainstream comedy show like Last One Laughing. He tends to stick to his Netflix stand-up specials these days.

But none of that stopped Metro reader Dean Pilling from throwing his hat in the ring, writing on Facebook: ‘He’d never do it but Ricky Gervais would be good.’

Bill Bailey

The comedian turned Strictly Come Dancing victor has done the rounds on the comedy panel show circuit, with Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News for You and QI among them.

The 61-year-old seems like a prime pick for a future season of the show, given Last One Laughing has that panel show DNA. Metro reader Padraig Stapleton said the comedian would be ‘epic’ if he took part.

With over 30 years of stand-up experience under his belt, he would certainly have a back catalogue to draw on to crack up his competitors.

Sarah Millican

Sarah Millican is another panel show fixture – Mock The Week, Would I Lie To You?, you name it – ever since she won Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe festival in 2008.

But would she be able to keep from laughing? (Picture: Channel 4)

The comedian, 50, is married to fellow stand-up comic Gary Delaney, so perhaps we could get our first couple in the Last One Laughing house, were she to take part.

Metro reader Tony Stratton said Millican would be a ‘great’ choice to add in and we concur, even if she’s definitely a chuckle-y sort, so would probably have a disintegrating poker face.

Honourable mention: Sean Lock

This was a moving suggestion several Metro readers had.

The legendary 8 Out of 10 Cats team captain died aged 58 in 2021, after receiving a cancer diagnosis.

Writing on Facebook, Den Kelly wrote: ‘Sean Lock would have been absolute gold. May he rest in peace.’

Mike Pasmore echoed: ‘Would have loved to see Sean Lock on this.’

Last One Laughing is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Rozon had been sued for a total of nearly $14 million in civil court for incidents that occurred between 1980 and 2004, during a period when he founded the international comedy festival.

He had denied the allegations and said that the women had formed a coalition against him with the aim of getting rich.

Rozon stepped down from Just for Laughs in 2017 and later sold the company.

The women who had sued Rozon are scheduled to speak with reporters later today.

Jeremy Vine has labelled the axing of his BBC colleague Scott Mills ‘unfair’ after the Radio 2 presenter was abruptly fired.

Yesterday news broke that the radio DJ had been sacked by the national broadcaster following allegations over his ‘personal conduct’, which allegedly relate to a ‘historic relationship dating back more than 10 years’.

A statement from the BBC said: ‘While we do not comment on matters relating to individuals, we can confirm Scott Mills is no longer contracted to work with the BBC.’

Then, this morning, it was reported that Mills was let go after an alleged complaint was made against him about a historic police investigation into ‘serious sexual offences against a boy under 16’. The case was dropped around seven years ago due to a lack of evidence

However, around the same time, Vine shared his opinion on the saga and insisted ‘there’s been no crime’.

During his daily Radio 2 show in which he discusses the latest headlines, Vine expressed his disappointment at the handling of Mills’ exit.

The TV and radio presenter suggested the BBC had regrets over its failing to handle the behaviour of Huw Edwards and had gone harder on responding to Mills.

Vine questioned why Edwards ‘couldn’t be sacked because he was in a fragile mental state’ before adding: ‘Everything I have read about Scott’s history today goes back to his own anxiety and depression but there doesn’t seem to be the same break cut for him.’

The disgraced BBC News presenter Edwards was handed a six-month suspended sentence after pleading guilty to three charges of making incident images of children two years ago.

‘Scott Mills sacking has left a lot of people very confused. What do you make of it? I’d love to know?’ Vine, who has worked alongside Mills at Radio 2 for four years, said when starting his show.

‘We heard the news just before 12 yesterday here at Radio 2, it came as a complete shock to those of us who work at the station, the presenter of our Breakfast Show, Scott Mills, had been sacked over allegations, we’re told, related to his personal conduct,’ he began.

Later in the show, he noted: ‘It’s a very painful episode for anyone who knows Scott, he’s a very popular guy in the building.’

During his show, Vine also spoke to the BBC’s media and culture editor Katie Razzell, who explained that she’d put ‘a series of questions’ to bosses about Mills’ sacking, specifically whether they’d been aware that he had allegedly been investigated by police.

Jack Whitehall had a star-studded stag do over the weekend, with a famous group of faces helping him celebrate his upcoming wedding to Roxy Horner.

The comedian and actor, 37, wore a blow-up crown to designate him as the man of the hour as he and a group of pals gathered at 3pm at the Devonshire pub to get some drinks in before the night’s festivities.

His pals included former footballer Jamie Redknapp, presenter James Corden, and ex-rugby player Lawrence Dallaglio.

James, 47, and Jamie, 52, worked with Jack on Sky’s sports-comedy panel show A League Of Their Own.

Hollyoaks star Charlie Wernham was also in attendance and posted pictures of the evening to Instagram, including a snap of him posing with Jack, an image of the whole group together, and a video clip of Jack putting during mini-golf.

The group eventually moved to the infamous club in Soho, The Box, which often features cabaret and other naughty entertainment, before ending the evening with a round of mini-golf at Swingers.

The party ended at the Soho Hotel bar, with the friends getting some more pints in before calling it a night.

Jack is set to marry fiancee Roxy, 37, in just a matter of weeks.

The pair went public and made their romance official at the start of lockdown in the UK in 2020 when she moved into his London home.

Jack previously admitted that although the decision to move in together ‘accelerated’ their relationship, they did miss out on doing ordinary things like restaurant and cinema dates.

Speaking on the Couples Quarantine podcast, he said: ‘Weirdly that was quite nice because we spent a lot of time together and it accelerates the relationship in a way.’

In May 2023, Horner announced she and Whitehall were expecting their first child on Instagram. In September of that year, their daughter, Elsie, was born.

‘Well, this just happened!’ Whitehall wrote at the time. ‘Utterly overwhelming and joyous in ways I couldn’t have even imagined. In awe of my partner @roxyhorner who has been amazing throughout this journey and is going to be the greatest mum ever.

‘So excited to have started a family of my own. Having vowed I’ve never be that guy I am now 100% going to be the parent that shows everyone endless pictures of their kid. I also wore sketchers to hospital, I think I must accept I am a full-blown dad now.’

Wedding bells are now ringing for the couple, who announced their engagement in December 2024.

Sharing some sweet snaps from the moment Jack popped the question, the couple look overjoyed after becoming fiancees.

A source told The Sun that the pair were going into Christmas as ‘an engaged couple’. They added: ‘They could not be happier together and are looking forward to planning their wedding.’

Details of their upcoming wedding haven’t been shared by the couple, but Horner sparked rumours that the ceremony could be soon after sharing a video of herself trying on dresses.

In November 2025, the bride-to-be shared a video montage of her trying on numerous wedding gowns, captioning the clip: ‘Come wedding dress shopping with me.’

On a recent appearance on The Jonathan Ross show, Whitehall also couldn’t hide his excitement about tying the knot.

He said: ‘I’m very excited – it’s going to be great. It’s the first time our families are ever coming together.

‘I’ve met her family, but my family have not met her family. ‘My family, and it will come as no surprise to you, are a bunch of gilet wearing chinless toffs and her family are proper cockney, all West Ham fans, proper salt of the earth.’
