Brock Lesnar’s rumored WrestleMania 42 match canceled by WWE – Reports
This year would be Brock Lesnar’s first WWE WrestleMania since ‘Mania 39, as he missed two Showcase of the Immortals in a row. He was away from the promotion after being alluded to in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon.
Since the 2026 Royal Rumble, there have been rumors that the former NXT Champion Oba Femi, who moved up to the main roster and had an encounter with Lesnar in the Rumble, would face him at ‘Mania this year.
Thanks for the submission!
However, the rumors seem to have been debunked, as a popular X handle posted a question asking fans whether the company is booking Lesnar vs. Femi for WrestleMania 42. In the comments, a popular pro-wrestling source, Ibou of Self Made, gave a simple answer, “No.”
A match between The Ruler and The Beast Incarnate would indeed be chaotic and a major box-office success. However, The Showcase of the Immortals may not be the right place or time to book the superbout.
Brock Lesnar may face a former WWE Champion
While the rumored plans for the ex-UFC Champion vs. Femi have been shut down, Lesnar facing a former United States Champion at WrestleMania has also been going viral.
The former US Champion in question is none other than LA Knight, who, with the help of Cody Rhodes, eliminated The Beast Incarnate early in the men’s Royal Rumble match and has also been feuding with The Vision for an extended period. According to reports, the Stamford-based promotion has been internally planning to book Lesnar vs. Knight for WWE WrestleMania 42.
The market is hot, and rumors are all over the internet. However, the path for Brock will look clear by next week, as he has been officially announced to return on Monday Night RAW.
That said, it will be interesting to see what Triple H and his WWE creative team have in store for Paul Heyman’s OG guy as The Show of Shows approaches.
