Huge update on 39-year-old AEW star’s neck injury after defeating Jon Moxley 125 days ago – Reports
An AEW fan-favorite has been missing from action since defeating Jon Moxley in a blockbuster pay-per-view match over 120 days ago. Now, an update has emerged regarding the star in question, Kyle O’Reilly, and his current health situation.
The Conglomeration’s feud with The Death Riders towards the end of last year led to The Violent Artist locking horns with Jon Moxley multiple times. Although their two singles bouts from October of 2025 ended respectively via disqualification and a double count-out, KOR actually managed to submit The One True King in last year’s Blood and Guts match. Around ten days later, at AEW Full Gear 2025, O’Reilly once again defeated Mox in a No Holds Barred Match.
Although this was one of Kyle’s biggest career wins in AEW, he could not quite celebrate his victory as Moxley attacked his damaged arm post-match, and his injuries from the bout supposedly led to O’Reilly being removed from the 2025 Continental Classic. The grappler has not been on All Elite programming since last year’s Christmas Collision, and now an update has emerged regarding his health status from Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live.
The report claims that Kyle O’Reilly is currently on the shelf from a neck injury (albeit not the “same injury he had before”). Alvarez was unable to reveal any details regarding the severity of the injury, nor was he able to share when the Paragon member might return to action.
“I don’t know the severity. I don’t know if it’s career-threatening. I don’t know if he’s going to be back soon. I don’t know anything. I just know the reasoning he’s been gone is that he did have another legitimate neck injury.” [H/T- 411 Mania]
It remains to be seen when O’Reilly will be back on All Elite Wrestling TV.
Kyle O’Reilly’s close allies have finally teamed up in AEW
Although he was initially unwilling to accept Kyle O’Reilly’s offer of joining up with the Conglomeration, months of teaming with the fan-favorite faction, and inter-personal tensions with Orange Cassidy, finally culminated in Roderick Strong officially aligning himself with the “Freshly Squeezed” star and his crew earlier this month. Alongside Darby Allin, OC and Roddy defeated The Dogs at Revolution 2026, and afterwards, Cassidy and Strong revealed that they would be going after the AEW tag team titles together.
Unfortunately, the Conglomeration members faced a setback this week on Wednesday Night Dynamite, where they lost to David Finlay and Clark Connors in tag team action.
