Suspect injured in police shooting inside HCA HealthONE Swedish
One person was shot by a Cherry Hills Village police officer inside HCA HealthONE Swedish on Thursday evening, police officials said.
The shooting happened at 5:45 p.m. inside the medical center at 501 E. Hampden Ave. in Englewood, Cherry Hills Village officials said.
In statements posted on social media, department leaders described the person who was shot as a suspect but did not provide further information about the circumstances around the shooting.
The suspect is being treated at Swedish and no officers were injured, Cherry Hills Village police said. The shooting will be investigated by the 18th Judicial District’s Critical Incident Response Team.
