Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in skiing accident, says she suffered concussion

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau says she’s not seriously injured after suffering a concussion in a skiing accident.

In the

new Instagram post

, the former “First Lady” of Canada wrote, “not all days are blue skies … got a concussion while skiing with a helmet.”

The accompanying video starts with a still close-up of half her face, which shows what looks to be a scar under her right eyebrow. The rest of the video is footage of her ski trip.

“I was skiing and carving fast and all was fine until I hit a pitch with unban (sic) unannounced moguls and took an epic fall. Thank goodness my kids and friends were there. Went for a scan. Concussion. No internal bleeding,” Grégoire Trudeau said in the post.

“All our flights are late now and we’re scrambling trying to get back home but none of it matters as we are healthy and we have each other! Be safe out there!”

In an earlier post, she said she was in Aspen, Col., for a workshop based on her 2024 book Closer Together: Knowing Ourselves, Loving Each Other.

“From the yoga ‘stage’ to the mountain ‘stage!’ Loved teaching a Closer Together workshop and connecting with incredible women at Aspen Shakti … and then ripping some slopes with my favourite people in the world; my kids!”
