Sailor Piece Melee tier list (April 2026)

Melee is one of the three main combat pillars of Sailor Piece, the others being Devil Fruits and Swords. This combat archetype typically focuses on weaponless combat, relying on energy-based attacks instead. Certain Melee styles are among the most powerful techniques available, to the point of being worth crafting your entire build around them. So, it’s important to know which of them to choose when making an endgame build.

To help you gauge the effectiveness of the different Melee styles in Sailor Piece, we’ve ranked them based on their movesets. Feel free to refer to this tier list to find out which of these are worth pursuing.

Ranking all Melee styles in Sailor Piece

S-Tier

The Moon Update saw the introduction of Moon Slayer, one of the most powerful movesets released in the game so far. Its effectiveness is far above any other Melee style available, making it the sole inhabitant of the S-Tier. Moon Slayer has set the bar high for all Melee styles that will be introduced to the experience moving forward.

Melee

Notes

Moon Slayer

Extremely powerful moveset that stands above most other fighting styles in the game. It can adapt to every play style, and its basic attack range is greater than most other Melees.

The Sailor Piece Sword tier list breaks down which Sword and its moveset reigns supreme in the game’s meta.

A-Tier

The gap between Moon Slayer and every other Melee style has caused the options that would ordinarily be in the S-Tier to be moved down. In this tier, you will find exceptionally powerful Melee styles that are still quite effective in the end game. That said, it would be best to temper your expectations, as they will struggle to keep up with Moon Slayer-focused builds.

Melee

Notes

Strongest Shinobi

High base damage with a moveset that can easily entrap enemies. Various AoE skills that are useful in both PvP and PvE.

Corrupted Excalibur

Great damage with plenty of knockback for PvE utility.

Strongest in History

More reliant on basic attacks to deal the lion’s share of its damage. Best used in the close range.

Anos

Skill-spamming Melee style that is particularly effective in PvE. Certain moves can be quite challenging for the opponents to dodge in PvP, with high recovery frames being a notable downside.

B-Tier

The B-Tier includes good options that function decently in the endgame, but they often can’t compete with the damage output and utility of their peers. In the current state of the meta, these Melee styles struggle to find a concrete place in the endgame, making them less reliable than the options listed above.

Melee

Notes

Strongest of Today

Specializes in area-of-effect moves that make it one of the better farming Melee styles.

Gilgamesh

Primarily ranged moveset with few tools to engage enemies in close range. Great in PvE content, may struggle in PvP due to a lack of combo tools.

Madoka

Area-of-effect skills grant it decent utility. Can be somewhat challenging to use in PvP.

C-Tier

The options in the C-tier have a place in the early game, but it would be wise to switch from them as you progress into the endgame. These Melee styles fulfil the purpose for which they were designed, but it would be best not to rely on them for long.

Melee

Notes

Alucard

Mid-game Melee style that functions in the mid-range. Makes use of dual handguns for its moves, which give it decent M1 range.

Qin Shi

Early- to mid-game Melee style that doesn’t remain effective in the endgame content. Designed to be switched from later in your journey.

Satoru Gojo

Burst-style skills that do modest damage. Doesn’t have much in the way of utility.

Sukuna

Designed to be used in the early-game for its high damage.

Yuji

Only has three skills, and they are not particularly varied. Can be used in the early-game until you land on something better.

D-Tier

The only Melee style included in the D-Tier is Combat, the default fighting style. It is an extremely basic style with no noteworthy properties that may help it at least be somewhat useful in practice. As such, we recommend moving on from this Melee style as soon as possible in favor of an option like Qin Shi.

Melee

Notes

Combat

No noteworthy properties. Unusable beyond the starter area.
