Reports: Angel Reese traded from Sky to Dream

Angel Reese is on the move.

Annie Costabile of Front Office Sports is reporting that the Sky sent Reese to the Dream along with a second-round pick swap in 2028 in exchange for Atlanta’s 2027 and 2028 first-round picks.

Reese, 23, is entering just her third season in the WNBA and has already earned a number of accolades, including twice being named a WNBA all-star and twice leading the league in rebounding.

Additionally, she was selected for the 2024 WNBA All-Rookie Team, the 2025 defensive player of the year in Unrivaled — a three-on-three professional women’s basketball league — and won an NCAA national title with LSU in 2023, while being named that tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.

While she enjoyed individual success in her first two seasons in the WNBA, the Sky haven’t reaped the benefits, finishing with just 13-27 and 10-34 records the past two seasons.

Reese will join an Atlanta team that topped the Eastern Conference last season with a 30-14 record, but was bounced by the Indiana Fever in the first round of the playoffs.

Through two WNBA seasons in Chicago, Reese averaged 14.1 points and 12.9 rebounds per game on 42.1 per cent shooting from the floor.
