Report: Warriors star Stephen Curry to miss at least five more games
Basketball fans will have to wait a little longer for the return of one of the NBA’s superstars.
Curry has missed the Warriors’ last 15 games with patella-femoral pain syndrome and bone bruising in his right knee.
He last played on Jan. 30, a 131-124 loss to the Detroit Pistons that saw him score 23 points in 25 minutes.
Golden State has struggled in Curry’s absence with a 5-10 record and a minus-4.8 net rating.
A two-time MVP and four-time NBA champion, the 37-year-old Curry was named an all-star for the 12th time in his career this season, averaging 27.2 points and 4.8 assists per game on 46.8 per cent shooting from the floor and 39.1 per cent from three-point range in 39 games played this season.
The Warriors sit firmly in the Western Conference’s play-in picture in in ninth place.
They will next square off against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.
