A junior high student has been arrested after allegedly attacking another student with a pair of scissors at a Halifax school on Tuesday, Halifax Regional Police say.

Officers responded to the incident at St. Agnes Junior High, near Halifax Shopping Centre, at around 11:40 a.m. 

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, police said. 

An investigation is ongoing.
