A search is underway in the Harmony Road area of Salmon River, N.S., to find a missing Colchester County man.

RCMP issued a vulnerable missing person alert Sunday to help find Jason Lorette, a 47-year-old man described as 5-11, 140 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair and white goatee. He walks with a noticeable gait and is believed to be wearing a blue flannel jacket, RCMP said.

Police say he was last seen Thursday morning in Salmon River. He was reported missing Friday.

RCMP are asking people to report any tips or sightings to 911.

They are also asking people to check their doorbell cameras or outbuildings.
