Wrestling Legend returns to the ring and immediately wins a championship

WWE’s Performance Center trainer Steve Corino has returned to wrestling. He officially retired in 2021 but now sees himself in the Premier Wrestling Federation. His coming out of retirement now in 2026 was followed by an immediate reward, too.

The King of Old School returned at PWF on their 25th Anniversary Show and announced he will be there exclusively. In a match after five years, Steve challenged PWF Champion Kaitlyn Marie. With this win, he has become the first-ever seven-time PWF Champion. The tables really turned when the original challenger, Krule, did not make it because of travel issues. Thus, his replacement was Corino, who ended Marie’s second reign.

The current PWF Champion is also working in WWE as a trainer and as a producer in NXT. He is one of those rare wrestlers winning nearly 50 titles in their career. However, his highlights come from the ROH, NWA, and ECW World Championships. Along with the ROH World Tag Team Championship with Jimmy Jacobs.

Wrestling legend Brie Bella also came out of retirement this year

Back in 2019, Brie Bella announced she was leaving the sport for good. Not just WWE, but professional wrestling itself was not in her playbook. In fact, at that time, both The Bella Twins announced that they would prefer riding into the sunset, focusing more on their personal lives, and Brie especially wanted to be there for her daughter (and a son born the next year).

However, neither stayed true to their statements and came back to WWE. Nikki came back at last year’s Royal Rumble, and Brie did it at this year’s. Their goal is likely to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship currently held by Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. If winning the titles is their goal, then a WrestleMania match for the same sounds befitting.
