His professional record stands at 34-2-1, with 24 of those wins coming via knockout.

Meanwhile, Makhmudov is a 36-year-old Russian-born Canadian boxer with a professional record of 21-2, with 19 of those victories coming via knockout. He’s coming off a unanimous decision win over David Allen last October.

Tyson Fury vs. Arslanbek Makhmudov purses and payouts: How much are the boxers making?

Tyson Fury is set to make a pretty penny for his comeback fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov this weekend.

Per a Mirror report, the Englishman is reportedly set to make around $25 million (£18.8 million) for his heavyweight boxing return. In his previous first outing against Oleksandr Usyk, he reportedly took home £85 million before the pair split a massive £150 million purse for their rematch.

While there’s no information on how much Makhmudov is making for taking on Fury, it’s safe to assume that the Russian-born Canadian pugilist is taking home a few million for his efforts, given the size and scope of the event.

While Fury has been away from boxing for over a year, he’s eager to prove that he’s still dangerous in the ring. In an interview with Sky Sports, he previewed the Makhmudov fight and said:

“It’s just doing what I already did in the past but bringing different stuff back to life that I haven’t been doing lately. If a 37-year-old Tyson Fury can do what a 27-year-old Tyson Fury did back in the day… And so I’m really putting things together, honestly. I want a brutal knockout over Makhmudov. It’s going to be fun.” [H/t: The Sun]
