Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding timeline receives more clarity as Chiefs insider spills major detail after TE returns for 14th NFL season

Travis Kelce re-signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, a one-year deal worth $12 million. That’s not the only big milestone the three-time Super Bowl winner will have this year.

According to ESPN’s NFL Insider, Nate Taylor, reported that Kelce and Taylor Swift will get married before he reports for his 14th NFL season.

“A day after he agreed to return to the Kansas City Chiefs for his 14th season, tight end Travis Kelce shared that one of the biggest influences in continuing his NFL career was not a member of the organization. Instead, it was pop music star Taylor Swift, his fiancée he plans to marry before training camp,” Taylor wrote.

On Tuesday, Kelce, who appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show,” said that he credits Taylor Swift for being a big motivation for him and his NFL career. He said that both of them being so invested in their individual careers is a big reason as to why he is not ready to give his playing days up just yet.

The couple began dating in 2023 and in August the Kansas City Chiefs tight end proposed.

Travis Kelce made the decision to return mid-2025 season

Travis Kelce may have re-signed with the Chiefs on Monday, but he recently revealed that he knew much earlier that he would be playing in 2026. On Wednesday’s episode of the “New Heights” podcast, he told his older brother, Jason, that he decided mid-season that he wanted to come back.

“About midway through [my 13th] season. You gotta let the emotions clear and you gotta have a clear head. I’ve made decisions based off of emotions and they haven’t always played out the right way, so I think taking a step back, letting the emotions settle down, the frustrations from the season …,” Travis said.

He said that he took his brother’s suggestion at stepping back and evaluating everything after the season. He was then positive that he was ready to give it another go.
