Senegal stripped of AFCON title as Morocco awarded win after shock CAF decision
CAF Appeal Board have declared Morocco as the AFCON 2025, stripping Senegal of the title. They have ruled that the Senegal players walking out after the late penalty was awarded to Morocco resulted in a forfeit.
In a stunning statement released on Tuesday, March 17, CAF posted that Morocco’s appeal was successful. Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football had claimed that they should be declared winners after Senegal players walked off.
