[Photo] Former WWE Diva Kaitlyn unveils new look

Former WWE Superstar Kaitlyn had shared a new look for the first time in years. The one-time Divas Champion has been rocking dreadlocks since after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.

Kaitlyn initially retired in January 2014, wrestling AJ Lee in her final match before her contract terminated. She went back to fitness and became an entrepreneur. She eventually returned to WWE for a brief period in 2018 to participate in the Mae Young Classic.

The former Divas Champion beat Kavita Devi in the first round before losing to Mia Yim in the second round. She also appeared in a backstage segment with Torrie Wilson, Santino Marella and Alicia Fox on the 2019 RAW Reunion show.

In a post on Instagram, Kaitlyn revealed that she has trimmed her long hair and gotten rid of her dreadlocks after more than four years. It was a fresh look for the 39-year-old star, who has been active in participating in wrestling conventions over the past year.

“I cut my dreads after four years! My soul was craving a change and a full identity upgrade. Longer video about the process and the energy transformation coming coming later. Let’s goooo,” the former WWE star wrote.

In addition to her brief WWE return in 2018 and 2019, the NXT Season 3 winner also wrestled a few times on the independent circuit in 2018 and 2019.

Kaitlyn shares experience backstage during her time in WWE

Speaking on Muscle Memory with MuscleMan Malcolm earlier this year, Kaitlyn opened up about her time with WWE. She revealed that she wasn’t close with a lot of her contemporaries at the time. She was also hazed because she was young and getting pushed early on despite not having a lot of experience.

“I never was super close with a lot of the divas there. Sometimes I got bullied a little bit when I was new and I think it’s because just the way that I came up. I came up really fast. I had an amazing opportunity to start without any experience. So I went through a little bit of hazing and bullying from some of the divas, but for the majority of the ones that were on the show, they were all super cool with me. But I think I just kind of wasn’t in the clique. I didn’t know how to be,” the former Divas champion said. [H/T Fightful]

With AJ Lee and Nikki Bella back in WWE, it will be interesting to see if the 39-year-old star wants an opportunity to return.
