Phil Mickelson fires back at Tim Miller & Sam Stein for calling him a “disturbed dude”

Phil Mickelson’s latest response to American political commentators Tim Miller and Sam Stein regarding their comments on his mentality is gaining traction on social media. The six-time major champ does not shy away from sharing his opinions on political matters and often engages in verbal exchanges on the internet.

In one episode of The Bulwark Podcast, Miller and Stein discussed Mickelson’s views and his posts on X (previously Twitter). Referring to the LIV golfer’s posts and ideas on deportation and illegal migrants, the duo criticised him. In the clip, Stein labeled Phil Mickelson as “a disturbed dude” and said:

“If this is an honest reflection of how he thinks, he’s a disturbed dude… If you’re thirsting over the idea you can cane somebody because they’re here illegally, then you need to go get help.”

Phil Mickelson did not hold back from criticising the duo via a comment below Stein’s repost on X. The 55-year-old professional golfer fired back at Stein and Miller, stating that they are both “morally superior”. He wrote on X:

“Sam, you and Tim are both morally superior so congratulations on that. When our laws are not enforced and illegal immigrants are enticed and paid to be here, it’s the citizens, veterans, tax payers who are punished.”

Phil Mickelson has frequently expressed his views on illegal immigration and deportation. The Californian has publicly backed the idea of the US Military using “deadly force” to protect the United States’ borders. He also stated in a previous tweet that legal immigration might be important, but a country is not a country without its borders.

Phil Mickelson calls US policies “way too lenient” while talking about the punishments of illegal immigrants in other countries

Recently, Minneapolis Mayor Frey revealed his non-compliance with ICE and switched to Somali mid-speech. After the clip was shared on X by a user, it was reposted by Phil Mickelson.

The golfer detailed in the X post how different penalties have been set for other countries regarding illegal immigrants. Mickelson wrote in the caption of his X repost:

“The US is way too lenient on illegal immigration. Singapore 6 months in prison, caning, THEN deportation Malaysia 1-5 years in prison, caning, then deportation….”

The three-time Masters champion also criticized former United States President Joe Biden’s open-border policy in an X post, stating that it is the “most destructive policy” in the country’s history.
