Personal Update: AEW star Ronda Rousey following recent debut
MMA legend Ronda Rousey is a former WWE star. She was under the Stamford-based company’s banner for several years, during which she achieved moderate success. Even though she held the WWE Women’s World Championship and the WWE Women’s Championship, she couldn’t convincingly get herself over.
Rousey made her Ring of Honor debut in 2023 by teaming up with Marina Shafir and locking horns with Athena & Billie Starkz. This was an enjoyable match, where the debutant and the Death Riders’ member emerged victorious. The 39-year-old made her All Elite Wrestling debut at AEW Revolution 2026 after the conclusion of Storm vs. Shafir. This was just a one-off appearance. She has not signed a contract with the Jacksonville-based company. However, this can change in the near future.
The former WWE star is going to lock horns with MMA legend Gina Carano in the Intuit Dome on May 16th. She has been preparing for the fight for weeks, and it seems like she is going to deliver an amazing performance in the upcoming showdown.
A few hours back, Rousey shared a personal update. She shared a video of her high-intensity training on Instagram. In its caption, she wrote that her opponent inspired her.

Ronda Rousey said that her AEW Revolution appearance was a “little bit of a f–k you to the TKO Group”
Ronda Rousey shared a vlog on her YouTube channel following her AEW Revolution appearance. In this video, she said that her debut was a shot at the TKO Group.
“It’s kind of a cool little bit of a f–k you to the TKO Group, which is kind of funny because WWE is on Netflix,” she said.
Only time will tell what the future holds for Ronda Rousey. Tony Khan might eventually offer her a full-time contract.
