“Max Dowman outdone his legacy at 16”, “Shouldn’t be starting” – Fans call out Arsenal star despite their 2-0 win over Everton

Fans on X have criticized Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka after he struggled to make an impact during their 2-0 win over Everton. The two sides faced each other in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, March 14.

Following a below-par first half, the Gunners responded well after the break and largely controlled the game. However, they struggled to put away their chances and appeared to be on the verge of dropping points in the title race.

Fortunately for Arsenal, Max Dowman and Viktor Gyokeres made a great impact off the bench, with the latter tapping home to open the scoring in the 89th minute. Dowman then scored following a counter-attack eight minutes later to seal the three points, becoming the youngest scorer in Premier League history in the process.

Despite this, fans were left fuming by Saka’s performance down the right wing. The 24-year-old created two chances but landed only one shot on target from an attempted two. He also lost six duels and completed only one cross from five attempts.

One fan reckons Saka should no longer be starting going forward, posting:

“Saka shouldn’t be starting the next game”

Another fan tweeted:

“MAX DOWMAN OUTDONE SAKA’S LEGACY AT AGE 15”
