Matt Cardona reveals who should induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame
WWE Superstar Matt Cardona recently talked about his possible future Hall of Fame induction. The former Zack Ryder revealed two names who should induct him.
After making a massive name on the independent circuit, Matt Cardona officially re-signed with WWE at the start of 2026. Many expected the Triple H-led creative team to book Cardona like a superstar because of his popularity among fans. However, that seemingly didn’t turn out to be true, as the former United States Champion’s booking has been lackluster in recent months.
Thanks for the submission!
The former Zack Ryder recently took to X/Twitter to share a clip of himself talking about if he ever gets inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the future, then who should induct him. The first name that came to Matt Cardona’s mind was that of his wife, Chelsea Green. However, he hilariously said that The Hot Mess will need to Google his career.
Cardona added that he believed it could be either his former teammate Brian Myers or Dolph Ziggler.
“If I were to ever go into the Hall of Fame, who would I want to induct me? I would say Chelsea [Green], but like she’ll have to like Google my career [laughs]. So, man, it has to be [Brian] Myers, I think. Or [Dolph] Ziggler, who would just roast me the entire time. I think they both would roast me, but Ziggler is a professional comedian, so yeah. Myers or Ziggler,” he said.

Stevie Richards believes WWE destroyed Matt Cardona’s momentum
During a January 2026 edition of The Stevie Richards Show, the veteran highlighted how Matt Cardona gained momentum by defeating Kit Wilson in his return match, but believed the Triple H-led creative team had since destroyed his momentum.
“The dude cares too much about what he does, cares too much about the business, and I’m sure he just wanted to be with his wife on the road or in the same company as his wife, which is very admirable. But man, they destroyed any kind of momentum this guy had within weeks, and I feel bad for him,” he said.
It remains to be seen what the Stamford-based promotion has planned for Matt Cardona’s future in WWE.
