“Leave them alone” – Fans react as Jungwon and Jay’s response to ENHYPEN OT7 comments amidst Heeseung departure controversy sparks criticism
On March 26, during a recent YZY fan call, ENHYPEN’s Jay’s reaction caught attention when a fan mentioned being worried about him. In response, the K-pop idol questioned the concern and let out a light laugh.
Jungwon also addressed fans directly during a recent fan call. When one fan said, “It was okay to cry,” Jungwon reassured everyone that he was fine. He stated that nothing has been particularly difficult for him lately, shutting down concerns about his well-being.
Some viewers, as it spread, suggested the members appear less emotionally affected. This follows the March 10 update confirming Heeseung’s exit from the band. He remains signed under the company while shifting focus to solo work. The announcement came through a handwritten letter, which, soon after, led to fan protests. Meanwhile, ENHYPEN has continued its schedule without interruption.
“Im glad he said something because you all need to calm the f*ck down and leave them alone…” an X user commented.
Many are urging fans to “leave them alone.”
Others believe it was already discussed earlier between the group. They questioned why fans are assuming scenarios, suggesting it likely ended on “amicable.”
Heeseung addressed his exit from ENHYPEN for the first time
ENHYPEN’s former member Heeseung spoke publicly after his departure. During a fan video interaction on Sunday, he addressed supporters for the first time since revealing his exit. The call had already been arranged before the March 10 update, so it continued as planned, though it appeared under a slightly altered title, “Heeseung and ENHYPEN.” He kept his words simple, saying the announcement may have surprised many, yet he is doing well.
At the same time, he briefly reflected on the group, admitting he felt regret toward the members. His focus then shifted forward, as he mentioned that a new record is on the way, pointing toward an upcoming solo release. Meanwhile, reactions from fans did not align. Some accepted that the pre-arranged schedule would naturally proceed, given the circumstances. Others, however, questioned the agency’s handling, noting that he was still being presented alongside the group in official plans and merchandise such as photo cards.
Earlier, the decision had been confirmed through BELIFT LAB, stating that he would step away from the group after six years since his debut. Even so, he will continue under the same label while beginning his individual path. As a result, ENHYPEN will now move forward as a six-member act.
