Josh Hokit wins $200K UFC 327 bonus, jokes about selling ‘Chama dees n*ts’ shirts to pay hospital bills
Josh Hokit is living the dream right now. The then-8-0 American star put on another great showing at UFC 327, where he got a unanimous decision win over Curtis Blaydes.
The fight was one of the best of the year, and many lauded the pair for putting on a show. The former NFL star had finished all his opponents coming into the fight against Blaydes. However, this barnburner went all the way, and it was Hokit who got the unanimous decision win in the end.
However, there was a lot more to come for the 28-year-old. He was handed two $100,000 bonuses from the UFC.
The first one was a Performance of the Night bonus, and he also got the Fight of the Night bonus. That’s $200,000 extra on top of his contract, and there was even more good news for him as he was confirmed to fight on the UFC White House card.

Hokit’s personality is also something that has caught the interest of the MMA world. While not everyone agrees with the character he portrays and the comments he makes, he is slowly gaining a fan following.
He decided to take a shot at Alex Pereira, the former light heavyweight champion, during his post-fight comments with Joe Rogan.
He used one of Pereira’s famous slogans, ‘Chama’, and added his own spin to it. Hilariously, Hokit and his team were quick to push shirts with his comments from UFC 327.
The American also joked that he wanted fans to buy the shirt and help pay for his hospital bills after the brutal battle with Blaydes.
