“It’s a good match for us” – Fabricio Andrey urges Kade Ruotolo to accept call out and face off in ONE

ONE Championship submission grappling star Fabricio Andrey of Brazil has called out his next preferred challenge.

‘Hokage’ moved to 3-0 in the world’s largest martial arts organization following another dominant unanimous decision victory at ONE Fight Night 40 against Joao Mendes.

Now, the 25-year-old dynamo believes he paid his dues and is due for a shot at 26 pounds of gold.

Andrey boldly challenged one of the pound-for-pound best grapplers on the planet, lightweight submission grappling king Kade Ruotolo.

“I want it. It’s good. But I think my goal for sure is the belt, a ONE world Champion. But if it’s not coming, I understand. I want a good match. It’s my goal here,” Andrey told The Bangkok Post’s Nick Atkin after his big win”.

The Manaus native added:

“Kade, accept this match. It’s a good match for us. Me and you want to kill, let’s go.”

Meanwhile, Andrey’s high-octane and fan-friendly style presents an intriguing clash of styles against Ruotolo’s elite scrambling ability and technical prowess.

The 23-year-old champion made a seamless transition to mixed martial arts, where he won his first three contests.

When Ruotolo is ready to defend his grappling throne again, Andrey hopes to be on the other side as his challenger.

Fabricio Andrey’s manager says his client’s opponents are all scared to be submitted

Fabricio Andrey’s manager, Viktor Doria, did not mince words when addressing why ‘Hokage’s’ opponents play passively against him.

He told Nick Atkin in the same interview:

“They’re all running away from him. They’re all trying not to get tapped. It’s tough when you have a very skilled fighter in front of you that just doesn’t want to get tapped. You have to have the exchange. They have to come to submit him, and nobody did that so far.”
