“I decided to quit” – WWE’s Tiffany Stratton gets brutally honest about her first-ever dream

WWE star Tiffany Stratton has gotten brutally honest about her first-ever dream. The 26-year-old has been with WWE since 2021 and has risen up the ranks to be a top star.

Last year at WrestleMania, she defeated Charlotte Flair to retain the Women’s Championship in one of the biggest moments of her career. She looks set to be in the mix for another title opportunity at this year’s event.

Despite her rise to popularity as a WWE star, pro wrestling wasn’t her first love. During an interview on The Nikki & Brie Show, Tiffany Stratton talked about how she wanted to be an Olympian after watching the US athletes take gold at the 2012 Olympic Games.

“My first ever dream was to be an Olympian. And I think the 2012 Olympics when I saw Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, all competing for Team USA, and they won Team USA gold, that was like the first time that I was like, ‘Whoa,’ like, I want to do something like that,” she admitted.

She had her parents sign her up as a gymnast, and she quickly moved up the levels. Stratton even became a level 10 gymnast and was on her way to becoming an elite. However, she said when she grew up, she realized gymnastics might not be a feasible career for her from a financial standpoint, and the persistent injuries didn’t help the cause.

“Then I just, like, I kind of grew up a little bit and I was like, ‘Gymnastics isn’t going to be paying my bills forever.’ And then, you know, the injuries, and then I just didn’t really have a good relationship with my coach at the time. So I decided to quit,” she revealed.

Tiffany Stratton moved to bodybuilding before finding her calling as a pro wrestler with WWE.

Tiffany Stratton lied before her WWE debut

After joining WWE in 2021, Tiffany Stratton began training at the Performance Center. She made her debut in November on the 205 Live brand and defeated Amari Miller.

While talking on The Nikki & Brie Show, she revealed that she lied to Shawn Michaels ahead of her debut match. She said that the veteran approached her about having a match, and she agreed. He then asked her whether she had her in-ring gear with her, to which the Buff Barbie said she did, but in reality, she had no gear with her.

The former Women’s Champion revealed that she wrestled in a pink skirt and a pink furry top from Amazon with shoes from Shein to go along with it.
