“He’s a real champion” – Asadula Imangazaliev says teammate Nabil Anane will ‘come back stronger’ after loss

Undefeated Dagestani destroyer Asadula Imangazaliev believes his Team Mehdi Zatout stablemate will bounce back after a tough loss at ONE Inner Circle.

‘The Dagestan Ninja’ watched his teammate Nabil Anane lose his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai crown to Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon after five rounds of action on March 20.

Anane, who entered his title defense on an eight-fight winning streak, was the clear favorite. But Rambolek pulled off the monumental upset after dropping the Algerian-Thai twice en route to a unanimous decision verdict.

Speaking to ONE Championship in behind-the-scenes footage, Imangazaliev addressed Anane’s defeat.

“Yes, of course, [I was surprised] but I know Nabil will come back stronger, I know. He’s a real champion.”

Meanwhile, Asadula Imangazaliev emerged victorious that same night in his main event billing against Rambolek’s teammate Nong-O Hama.

The Russian mauler destroyed the Thai living legend with a brutal second-round knockout in their flyweight Muay Thai contest. However, the flyweight Muay Thai world title remained vacant since Imangazaliev was ineligible to claim it after missing weight.

At just 21 years old, Anane certainly has a bright future ahead of him, even after losing his belt.

The same goes for Imangazaliev, who improved his unbeaten slate to 12-0 after the biggest win of his career.
