Former WWE World Champion Calls Out UFC Legend Conor McGregor

A former WWE champion called out UFC legend Conor McGregor today on social media. McGregor hasn’t competed in an MMA fight since his loss to Dustin Poirier by TKO at UFC 264 in July 2021.

Wrestling veteran Dolph Ziggler called out Conor McGregor today on social media. The former champion responded to a wrestling fan asking him to name his dream opponent, and Ziggler responded by calling out Conor McGregor. Ziggler also suggested that he would drop weight to be able to fight him, and you can check out his post below.

“McGregor, I’ll cut down,” he wrote.

Dolph Ziggler was let go by the promotion in 2023 and has found success in TNA Wrestling following his departure from the company. The 45-year-old appeared on WWE RAW in November 2025 to compete in the Last Time is Now tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent.

Gunther won the tournament and retired John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, 2025. Ziggler currently performs as Nic Nemeth in TNA and is in a tag team with his brother, Ryan Nemeth. The duo defeated The Righteous’ Dutch and Vincent on last week’s edition of TNA Impact.

Popular WWE star wants Dolph Ziggler to induct him into the Hall of Fame

Matt Cardona shared a clip of himself on social media recently and claimed that he would select Dolph Ziggler to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Cardona noted Ziggler is a comedian and would be a great choice to give his induction speech. He also named Brian Myers and his wife, WWE star Chelsea Green, as potential options.

“If I were to ever go into the Hall of Fame, who would I want to induct me? I would say Chelsea [Green], but like she’ll have to like Google my career [laughs]. So, man, it has to be [Brian] Myers, I think. Or [Dolph] Ziggler, who would just roast me the entire time. I think they both would roast me, but Ziggler is a professional comedian, so yeah. Myers or Ziggler,” he said.

IF I ever went into the Hall of Fame, who should induct me? LOL.

It will be fascinating to see if Conor McGregor responds to Dolph Ziggler’s challenge.
