“Darn shame,” “look what they are doing to our girls” – Fans go berserk after former WWE champions get squashed on AEW Dynamite
AEW president Tony Khan has made several high-profile signings in 2026. The company has brought in major names such as Tommaso Ciampa, Jake Doyle, David Finlay, and more. Additionally, it seems this phenomenon will continue throughout the year.
All Elite Wrestling recently signed the Australian wrestling duo, the IInspiration. Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee are former WWE stars. They were an entertaining act in the Stamford-based company, and they held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship once. The former IIconics made their AEW debut at a recent house show in Australia. They made their anticipated Dynamite debut this week, but they faced a humiliating defeat.
McKay and Lee locked horns with the Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter) on Dynamite. Fans were expecting an equal competition. However, Windsor and Haytey secured a dominant victory. The Australian natives didn’t deliver a single offence and were pinned within two minutes. This squash match has made fans on Twitter go berserk.
Some users were upset to see the former Billie Kay and Peyton Royce being treated this way. However, according to others, they are comedy wrestlers, and they are doing their job well.

AEW star Cassie Lee says that it took hours to get an idea approved in WWE
The IInspiration was interviewed by TMZ Sport last year. In this conversation, Cassie Lee revealed that in WWE, they sometimes had to wait for six hours outside an office to get an idea approved.
“It was somewhat of a battle at WWE when we were still there where, like, one little word would have to be approved and that would take an hour to get approval and it’s like, do you go wait outside of an office for six hours to see if you can get this line changed because it doesn’t really fit us?,” she said. Only time will tell what the future holds for this Australian duo. Hopefully, they will challenge for the AEW World Tag Team titles someday.
