Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns never crossed paths when working on project outside WWE
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns recently worked together on a project outside WWE. They never crossed paths during the project.
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are no strangers to each other. The two of them feuded over the Undisputed WWE Championship a few years ago. In fact, it was the American Nightmare who ended Reigns’ legendary title reign at WrestleMania 40. Although they have competed on the same team since, there is no love lost between them. Both men are part of the upcoming Street Fighter movie.
Thanks for the submission!
Speaking on Mostly Sports With Mark Titus and Brandon Walker, former WWE Champion Cody said that he never crossed paths with Roman Reigns on set, but is confident the OTC did a phenomenal job.
“You know what’s so funny? We never crossed paths on set. I think he did a phenomenal job. I saw he was doing his stunt training because they were training us as if we were going into a real fight. 50 Cent was boxing every morning. He was doing bulldog. Andrew Schultz, poor thing, basically learning how to fall because Dan gets punched a lot. And I was watching that. They’ve done something special with that movie. I’m so excited for people to see it.”
Cody Rhodes had so much fun filming for Street Fighter
Cody Rhodes plays the character Guile in the upcoming Street Fighter. The movie also features some big names like Roman Reigns, Vidyut Jammwal, Andrew Schulz, 50 Cent, and many more.
During the same interview, Cody credited the director Kitao Sakurai for being a big fan of the game growing up, since he added many easter eggs for true fans. Cody also said that he had so much fun shooting for the movie and got used to Guile’s flat top.
“One of the things I like most about the movie, Kitao Sakurai is the director, he clearly played the game a lot. They’re not just Easter eggs. They’re fully implemented in, if you’re looking for that catchphrase, post-fight, if you’re looking for that crazy move that could never be done in real action, he found a way to do it. And you surrounded Koji and Noah and Callina, the three leads. You surrounded us with the yahoos. It was like myself, Roman Reigns, Andrew Schultz, 50 Cent. It’s really horrible. Peck as Vega. Oh my gosh. Yeah, and then Vidyut, who plays Dhalsim, it’s a really… I was having so much fun. I stopped thinking, is this movie going to be great, good? I had so much fun. I just had to do that for a minute at the end. I wanted to stay there forever. And also the hair. I got so used to the hair, the flat top.”
Cody Rhodes is gearing up to compete in the Elimination Chamber match this weekend.
