Cody Rhodes randomly attacks 31-year-old WWE star who had nothing to do with him on SmackDown
Cody Rhodes revealed that he was going to address the crowd after the shocking events of the opening segment of SmackDown on April 3rd. He randomly attacked a 31-year-old star who had nothing to do with him.
Long story short, the person Randy Orton was talking to on the phone these past few weeks had been revealed. It was Pat McAfee who attacked Cody and revealed his intentions. He dissed the current state of WWE, including the low WrestleMania 42 ticket sales as well as the low SmackDown ratings, and blamed The American Nightmare for it. So it looks like McAfee and Orton are now partners on the road to WrestleMania, with McAfee even having a bit of an appearance change in the process.
Thanks for the submission!
After the WWE Tag Team Title match, where Kit Wilson and The Miz lost to Damian Priest and R-Truth (thanks to Danhausen’s accidental curse on the referee), Cody Rhodes came out, and for some bizarre reason, felt frustrated enough to take his anger out on the 31-year-old Kit Wilson.
Kit Wilson caught strays for no reason, but he wasn’t the only one. During his promo, Cody Rhodes essetially said that Pat McAfee aligning with Randy Orton is like if Kevin Nash and Scott Hall revealed the “third man” in the nWo to be Disco Inferno instead of Hulk Hogan.
Cody essentially said that there were voices in his head, and this has become ore of a psychological war for him on the road to WrestleMania, unlike anything he has ever faced before. Recall that just this past week on RAW, Cody was confronted by none other than Stephanie McMahon, who told him bluntly that this version of him won’t be able to beat this version of Randy Orton, whom she has first-hand experience with from 17 years ago.
