Charley Hull wears black sports bra as she trains hard after announcing participation in PIF-backed event

Charley Hull is currently away from tournament action but has been keeping busy in the gym. The English golfer recently shared a look at her training routine while preparing for upcoming events.

Hull posted a short clip on her Instagram story during a workout session. She was dressed in a black sports bra with high-waisted black leggings and white training sneakers.

In the video, Hull performed a medicine ball rotational drill, an exercise often used by golfers to work on core strength and swing movement. She captioned the story:

“Good to be back with @precisiongolfkate.”

Hull is not playing in this week’s Blue Bay LPGA event as she continues her break from competition. However, she has already confirmed one of her next appearances. On February 6, the PIF Global Series shared a joint Instagram post with Hull announcing that she will compete at the Aramco Championship, scheduled from April 2 to 5 in Las Vegas. The field is expected to include several top players such as Nelly Korda, Jeeno Thitikul and Lydia Ko.

Hull’s name also does not appear on the entry list for the Fortinet Founders Cup, which will take place from March 19 to 22. She played the event last year and finished tied for 19th at eight under par.

Charley Hull has already enjoyed success this season. She opened her season with a victory at the PIF Saudi Ladies International on February 14 at Riyadh Golf Club. Hull closed that tournament with a final-round 65 to finish at 19 under par, securing her fifth Ladies European Tour title.

Charley Hull reaches career-high No. 3 in world rankings

Charley Hull’s strong start to the season has also moved her up in the world rankings. After winning the PIF Saudi Ladies International, the English golfer climbed to No. 3 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, the highest position of her career.

The ranking is also a milestone for English golf. No Englishwoman has been ranked higher in the history of the women’s rankings.

Hull said the number is nice to see, but it is not something she focuses on too much.

“Obviously, my goal was always to be world No. 1,” Hull said. “But yeah, it’s pretty cool that obviously got to No. 3. But I’m not really one to stare at rankings and stuff because it shifts all the time. I just look at it, think it’s pretty cool, carry on, and crack on, play golf.”

The achievement is even more notable because of the issues Hull dealt with last season. She had a back injury in July and later collapsed during the Amundi Evian Championship. A month later she tore a ligament in her ankle.

Earlier this year she was also hospitalized with an undisclosed illness. Hull even thought about skipping the HSBC Women’s World Championship, but she still traveled to the event and finished tied for 10th.

Charley Hull currently sits behind Jeeno Thitikul, who is world No. 1, and Nelly Korda, who holds the No. 2 spot.
